The Roost sits majestically above the internationally acclaimed Whitesands beach in the heart of the Pembrokeshire National Park. The Roost is located across the Irish Sea towards Ramsey Island and the views and surrounding walks are truly spectacular. It has been renovated in the traditional Pembrokeshire style and is the perfect cosy hideaway for your week on the coast. It is only a short walk to the Pembrokeshire coastal path, 5 minute walk to Whitesands beach and a 7 minute drive to the cathedral city of St Davids.

The Roost is a self-catered barn conversion, featuring 2 bedrooms (a King room and twin room) separated by a living area with a Free View TV + DVD player, wood-burning stove and a stunning panoramic glass window. The lower floor consists of a fully-equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower and toilet. The outdoor space features a viewing area with a table, chairs and fire pit. There is also a gas BBQ to enjoy your dinner with a view!

The Roost is on the same site as Lower Porthmawr, the other property in our portfolio. Both available for combined group bookings. Both can sleep 5 and boasts 2 private areas for viewing the coastline and Ramsey Island.

Great. Lovely location. Whitesands beach is great for messing about in the waves. Portmadwr is a beautiful sandy cove where we could take the dogs.

This is a homely property and felt a cosy place to stay. The position is beautiful with just one house nearby and a short walk to the beautiful beach. The view can be seen from the raised sitting area where we spent many an early evening with a good G&T watching the view. We were lucky and had good dry weather and spent most of our time walking the coastal paths and having barbeques. The nearest pub is in St Davids where we had dinner one night but it is a car journey so if you like a lively place to stay this is not for you. We loved the quiet, the awesome nature and coastal walks with the great bus service to bring you back to Whitesands Beach after walking the paths. Highly recommend if you like that sort of holiday. I think young families would like it also as it is so close to the beach.

We really enjoyed the wonderful location of this property and the views it afforded of Whitesands Beach and Carn Llidi. Just under 2 miles walk into St Davids yet so peaceful. House itself was well furnished with nice touches and decoration but very functional with a wonderful washing machine and dishwasher (not used), a great shower (needs time to heat up the water after 2 showers) and a fabulous elevated garden which I enjoyed sitting in despite the grey weather. Lots to do in the area if willing to walk the coast and enjoy the sea - coasteering, kayaking and sea trips. Take your binoculars to spot the seals! Many thanks to the owners and the friendly lady we met as we departed. Hope to return one day!

Our second stay here, clean, cosy, comfortable cottage, very well equipped. Wonderful position overlooking Whitesands within easy walking distance of the beach and spectacular coastal paths.
