This is a splendid destination. Spotless beautiful accommodation. Magnificent views . Convenient to the town for meals, beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside and in Rathlin Island. Prompt communication with Joanne who provided lovely welcoming treats. Would highly recommend a visit to this lovely cottage.

Stayed here at the end of October for 3 nights with my husband and two young kids. Had a fab time! Was so peaceful, views were amazing and the enclosed garden was great for the kids. Joanne was a great host, the welcome items were so thoughtful and contact was maintained before and through our stay. Will definitely be back and highly recommend this cottage, it was just so great. We have always loved Ballycastle, but this was a totally different experience, so chilled, could sit and watch the views of the light houses and Rathlin Island all day! Will be back for sure!

We stayed at Jo and Martin's place in the middle of July 2019. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children (10 and 16). From the minute I opened the door and saw the welcome from Jo, I knew we had picked the right place. The cottage is just lovely, old world charm, with just great comfort. The main bedroom is lovely and spacious, with the second bedroom perfect for two children. The house was warm and cosy from the range cooker when we arrived. Jo looks after you well with all the bare essentials including some tasty whiskey marmalade. I did miss the washing machine, but as my husband said, it's easy to bring enough clothes for the stay to not need one. The children loved the books and games, (we had a serious game of monopoly which lasted two nights) and all the little extras that makes this cottage so homely. Ballycastle is just beautiful, and the surrounding area is full of such interesting places; Dunluce Castle, Giant Causeway, Carrig a Rede Rope bridge, Kinbane castle, just to name few. We will be back, Thankyou Jo and Martin

In these challenging times Tornaroan is a magical escape. The cottage is a retreat. It just wraps you in a warm soothing embrace. Surrounded by peace and silence my stress evaporated. The view of the sea and Rathlin soothes the mind. I cannot recommend this beautiful cottage highly enough. You must go! Joanne is a superb host. Nothing is too much trouble. I have never received a Welcome Pack such as she left for us. We will be back to Tornaroan as soon as possible.

We have just returned from a three night stay at this truly amazing cottage. From the moment you enter you are at home. Joannes welcoming package, tea, coffee, bread, milk, marmalade sugar etc and a lovely bottle of Prosecco. The living room is so cosy especially in the evening when the log burning stove is lit again with logs and turf supplied by Joanne. The main bedroom is very spacious and bright and the bed delivers a great nights sleep, the bathrooms a very big and bright. The views from the windows and the large garden are simply breathtaking. Our stay was far too short, we will definitely be back. Five stars rating.

My mum, sister and I stayed when NI was experiencing the hottest temperatures ever. The cottage was perfect, space to live outside when temperatures were bearable and nice and cool inside with the thick stone walls you get in a traditional cottage. It really was a home from home with a proper well equipped kitchen, two good showers and space for all of us - so many holiday homes feel cramped, Tornaroan is definitely one to keep going back to. Everyone comments in the views - which varied from thick sea mist where we could only see as far as the hedge to lovely clear views all the way to the Papps of Jura. The personal touches for our visit were really nice too. Great place, great hosts; what more can you want.

I stayed in Tornaroan Cottage with 2 friends who had never been to the North coast before. We had a great stay - the cottage is perfectly located for exploring the area. However, if you just want to sit in the garden and enjoy the peace and quiet it has a spectacular view. It is very well equipped for all weathers, and is extremely comfortable and cosy. Joanne is a very welcoming host and I hope to re-book before long.

The cottage is spacious, cosy & immaculately clean. The location is wonderful with spectacular unrestricted seaviews across to Rathlin Island. One highlight of our stay was having breakfast while watching the ever-changing views & various birds visiting the garden. The cottage is heated by a traditional range & a wood burning stove, comprehensive instructions for which are provided by Joanne, also kindling, logs & peat to get you started. There are 2 shower rooms with lovely fluffy towels & shampoo, soap & shower gel provided. The cottage is convenient for visiting all the local sights & just a few minutes from beautiful Ballycastle beach. Joanne goes above & beyond by providing a thoughtful & much appreciated welcome pack- milk, teabags, biscuits & a surprise bottle of Prosecco! We love the authentic period furniture & decoration & we would enjoy the cosy atmosphere & comfort in any weather- we stayed in January & we will definitely be back!Highly recommended! Thank you Joanne.
