The Space
Our villa with breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings, is located on the first hill out of Florence downtown, near San Domenico village, just between Fiesole and Florence. A private road, from the main street to Fiesole, leads you to the property, surrounded by its own lush garden that, being inside the nature of the hill among olive trees and pines, offers a peaceful rest in a silent place at a few minutes from the crowded centre of the city.
The apartment for rent,180 sqm on the ground floor of the villa, is composed as follows: The entrance room leads you to the main living / dining room, to the kitchen and to the night zone. The double-size living room has a dining area on the right (with 6-8 seats dining table) and a lounge area on the left, with sofas and fireplace. Two full-height windows accede directly to the panoramic private garden in front of the house.
The kitchen provides you with an additional 6-seats dining table. The cooking area is made of large and comfortable storage cabinets with marble counter-tops and is equipped with 5-range gas cooking plates, oven, dishwasher and double full-height fridge/freezer.
The night-zone (completely independent from the day-zone) is made of three sleeping rooms and two bathrooms. All rooms are connected by a corridor equipped with full-height inbuilt wardrobe cabinets and book shelves.
All rooms have windows opening on the garden and all the apartment is very bright.
The furniture is a mix of ancient and modern pieces, all well maintained and making a warm and cozy atmosphere..
Guest Access
The garden offers you a nice and quite lounge and dining area, barbecue provided, with a fantastic panoramic view in the Fiesole hills. Olive trees and rose bushes give to the garden the typical Tuscan taste. Two sides of the garden are reserved to the guest, the other two are common area An inside parking area is also available for your car.
Interaction with Guests
The hosts live in another apartment of the house and are at the guest’s disposal for any information on the city and on the neighborhoods, for help and for any problem solving.
Getting around
The villa is 5 minutes on foot far to the bus stop (Number 7) that on one side leads to center of Florence in about 15 minutes and on the other side leads to the Fiesole Village on the top of the hill. Over more the house is just 10 minutes walking from S.Domenico village and the EUI (European University) offices.
Fortezza da Basso is 3.2 km from the holiday home. Florence Airport is 7 km from the property.
