Our holiday apartments, that you can rent on a weekly basis, have been converted by restoring the original seventeenth century country house. They have been designed to accommodate sophisticated travelers who love beautiful objects and who desire to live different experience in nothern Italy, near the Euganean Hills and near Venice.

Il Borgo Borgo Giustiniani takes its name from an ancient castle that was destroyed in September 1404, by Uguccione dè Contrary, at the service of Nicola d'Este in the fight against the Venetians. Archaeological findings show that the territory of San Martino was settled since the Roman times. The stone road that goes through the park, and at the end of which you can see two pillars, was the communication route between the medieval Ferrara and Padua. The main building of the sixteenth century are in the so called "Stile Ferrarese", and they used to be the border between the states of Ferrara and Venice. For this reason, travelers used to pay the duty at the two pillars.
In 1852 Maria Venezze, the only daughter of Francesco Venezze, married a Giustiniani, of Venetian origins, with properties in Padua and Vanzo. The properties of Maria were then left for nearly 100 years to tenants and administrators. The Villa called Ca 'Venezze, that you can see walking down the long linden alley, returned to our grandfather Girolamo Giustiniani in 1968. "Grandfather Girmo" died in 1979, and the ownership of the "Borgo" was given in part to our father Pio, and in part to his sister Maria, our "Zia Mimma".
In April 1985 uncle Mario, husband of aunt Mimma, decided together with our father Pio (see the photo in black and white), to begin the restoration of the main buildings in the center of the Borgo, with the goal to welcome guests from all the world. Uncle Mario made some great historical researches, going back through the centuries until the myth of the "Argonauts and the Golden Fleece" and the story of the Roman emperor Nero, who killed his mother Agrippina for taking possession of her properties in this part of Northern Italy . In 1994/1995 over 14,000 trees were planted around the country house.
Accommodation
Pero The apartment Pero is on two floors, with a large private garden, furnished with all necessary to enjoy the tranquillity of the Venetian countryside. A cherry tree gives the garden a romantic atmosphere in the springtime.
On the upper floor, there are two large bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom with shower and, in the twin room, with a bath. Downstair, a charming living room with sat-tv and a fireplace welcomes our guest before entering the dining room, with a complete kitchen furnished with all modern comforts like: dishwasher, washing machine, microwave. Air conditioning is available in all rooms.
Rates: from € 420,00 (2 persons) to € 1630,00 per week. In the low and middle season, stays of less than one week are available.
Mora The apartment Mora is detached and completely on the ground floor, with a private garden facing the wood and the countryside. Since 2014, an elegant Glass House allows our guest to enjoy the colors of the park even in case of bad weather.
The apartment has two comfortable bedrooms with two bathrooms, a dining room with complete kitchen and a fireplace, living room with sat-tv. Air conditioning available in all rooms.
Rates: from € 840,00 to € 1630,00 per week. In the low and middle season, stays of less than one week are available.
Melo he apartment Melo is on two floors, covering a total surface of about 120 sm, plus a private garden, furnished with all the necessary to relax and enjoy your meals in the quiet of the park. There are also two cherry trees, that make a unique atmosphere in spring, offering you the parfumes and the flavors of the countryside.
On the groundfloor, there's a dining room with a kitchen equipped with all necessary items, and a living room with sat-TV. On the upper floor, you'll find the two bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, one with a bath and the other with shower. A fireplace is available in the sitting room to create a romantic and warm atmosphere in winter. During hot summer days, air conditioning is available in all rooms.
Location Borgo Giustiniani is in the village of San Martino di Venezze, located in the lower province of Veneto, near both Venice and Padua. Our holiday apartments are quite easy to reach by car, we are just 12 km from the exit of the A13 motorway (Rovigo Nord). Borgo Venezze is also served by several international airports: Venice Marco Polo which is 60 km from our apartments and the airports of Bologna and Verona are 80 km away. We are also easily reachable by train: The nearest station is Rovigo, which is just at 10 km. A transfer service is available from the station and from all major airports in the area.
