LE SOLANE DI SOTTO : Typical independent stone farmhouse in Monterotondo Marittimo

Inserted in the context of the Le Solane di Sotto farm, dedicated to the cultivation of the olive tree for the production of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and to the breeding of Arab and Angloarabi horses from Endurance, the agriturismo was born in the spring 2005 from the restructuring of the attached to the main house, it is an independent housing structure .

Renovated in stone and with all the details that characterize the Tuscan rural settlements, as well as the main building, the farmhouse, with a size of 50 square meters, plus the large external portico of about 25 square meters, consists of two bedrooms, with a total of four beds , a bathroom with shower and hairdryer, a large and bright living room - kitchen where there is a working wood fireplace , and the typical built-in kitchen, where there is an electric oven .

The portico, which provides access to the house, is organized to enjoy outside the panoramic horizons, to the east with a slice of the sea where it seems to touch the island of Elba, to the west with seven hills ridges, towards the city ​​of Siena.

There is also a wood-burning oven, which on request can be seen in operation, participating with an expert in the ancient profession of making bread at home.

The farm, in respect of the environment that characterizes all the activities of the farm, is served by hot water produced by solar panels , in winter possibly supplemented by gas heating.

It is possible, on request, to bring your pet with you , and enjoy walks along the bed of the Milia, where the remains of the "hominid of Montebamboli" were found, currently exhibited at the British Museum in London.

The farm can be reached along a dirt road that leads from the valley of the river Milia for one kilometer to reach only the Solane di Sotto, a situation that, together with the location of the company located on the ridge of the hill and immersed in the scrubland Mediterranean in complete anthropological isolation , guarantees maximum privacy and tranquility .
