The farm-holiday complex “La Villa Romita” is the product of a restoration of an old XVI th century Convent located in the very heart of Chianti region, surrounded by the cipresses, vineyards and olive trees in the unique and worldwide famous Tuscan countryside.
The renovation project has intentionally preserved the existing structure to ensure that guests can enjoy an authentic experience in a warm and most welcoming atmosphere.
Each with their own unique characteristics (wooden ceilings, fireplaces, private outdoor space) all apartments are furnished in the simple and rustic style that is typical of the Tuscan farmhouse complexes. They all have their own kitchen and entrance to ensure that guests can recharge their batteries in complete privacy.
During their stay, guests can take advantage of the panoramic swimming-pool overlooking the Val di Pesa valley, enjoying the breathtaking sunset in complete relax. They can reserve wellness treatments such as Shiatzu massages or reflexology treatments, and meditation sessione at sunrise.
The family who have long been the owners of the small hamlet, personally welcome their guests with the same care and dedication that they lavish on their vineyards and olive grows.
Agriturismo La Villa is located in a very central position to easily reach the most beautiful art cities such as Florence and Siena, and to organize cultural sightseeing and wine-and-food itineraries in the surrounding area. At the farmhouse it is possible to taste the wines and the extra-virgin olive oil produced by the family.
APARTMENTS

APARTMENT – LA VITE
This two-floors apartment is located just beside the panoramic swimming pool and is provided with an exclusive open space with table and chairs dominating the valley below.
On the ground floor: living-room with fireplace , small kitchenette and bath-room.
On the first floor: one spacious room with 4 beds, two of which on the mezzanine.
APARTMENT – L’OLIVO
Located within the convent’s original courtyard, this romantic apartment ideal for two people, has a beautiful view on the swimming pool and on the valley below . It has exclusive use of table and chairs within the courtyard.
Description: kitchen-/living-room with fireplace, garden with table and chairs, 1 bedroom with small balcony and a bathroom.
APARTMENT – IL NOCE
Located on the first floor within one of the original wing of the convent, this apartment consists in two bed-rooms , kitchen/living-room and small bathroom (obtained from one of the original monk’s cell). It shares the main entrance with apartment nr. 4, and it has the use of a table and chairs outside on the ground floor.
APARTMENT – LA VERBENA
Located on the first floor it is the most spacious apartment available. It is composed of a large living-room, a kitchen, one double bedroom, one smaller bedroom with a French bed and a single bed (obtained from an original monk’s cell), a bathroom and a panoramic terrace with table and chairs overlooking the valleys around.
APARTMENT – LA QUERCIA
This typical two-floors apartment is characterized by its original stone walls and it has a dedicated open space with use of table and chairs on what was the barnyard of the convent. There you can enjoy the serene summer nights and have dinner under the stars.
On the ground floor: large kitchen/living-room with fireplace, and bathroom On the first floor: spacious bed-room with 4 beds.
APARTMENT – IL MELO
Located in a separated construction which has been the barn of the original convent, this sunny and silent apartment is composed of a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, a kitchen-living-room and bath-room. It has a panoramic private terrace overlooking the olive groves and the valley below with exclusive use of table and chairs. Waking up in the morning and enjoying such a beautiful view from the large windows is one of the things our guests love most.

Books from our Library “under construction”: borrow a book to read during your vacation, check our selection at the reception. Most of all books have been donated by previous guests. If you wish to leave a book for other guests to come sign it with your name and country and we will add it with pleasure to our library! Table games and books for children
Other services not included : Sampling of wine and extra-virgin olive oil produced by the farm Extra linen: 15,00€ per person Additional bed (if possible): 100,00€ per week. Use of couch bed when available 70,00€ per week. Heating expenses: 10,00 € per day Use of a common washing machine: 5,00€ per cycle (ask the reception) Final cleaning: 50,00€ to be payed upon arrival. Customers are requested not to leave any dirty dishes and through away the garbage before departure. On request and on payment of a small surcharge, small size domestic animals are admitted (dogs and cats).

We greatly appreciated the availability of Valeria, which immediately proved friendly and attentive to our needs, also advising us of the "goodies" of the place that obviously we did not miss! We advise future guests to try the experience of a meditation session.
A few weeks ago, I stayed in La Villa Romita with my friends for some sight-seeing, relaxing, yoga and meditation. And what a wonderful stay we had !! From the moment we arrived, Valeria made us feel more than welcome ! She did everything to make our stay an unforgettable experience: she arranged a special guided tour in Firenze, she helped us out in planning our yoga and meditation sessions, she used her magical hands for foot reflexology, she advised us on some breathtaking hiking trails, prepared a delicious breakfast every morning and most importantly she was her true, spontaneous self ! Also our room (l'Olivo) was very nice with a breathtaking view on the Tuscan hills. I can definitley recommed this lovely place; you will - for sure - have a great stay !
La Villa was a perfect place for a Yoga retreat:: amidst the vineyards and olive orchards with all the modern amenities and appliances provided it allowed a self-contained (and the cultivation of) state of being. Thanks to the transfer-service provided one could parallel the depth of Yoga with the richness of Italian cultural heritage.
Great nice location and a beautiful old building. Reception is warmest. We stayed in app Verbena, 5 pers. The app is spacious enough and everything was very clean with comfortbale beds. Is somewhat remote, the environment is beautiful. Wifi is only at the pool. A small disadvantage is that toilet and shower is in the same room, which can be difficult with 5 people.
We stayed 2 weeks at the end of July in the apartment Nocé. Comfortable apartment well equipped, quiet. Location ideally located half an hour from Florence and 40 minutes from his. Pool with panoramic views of the Chianti. A big thank you to Valeria for her kindness, availability and friendliness. Thierry and Corinne.
La Villa Romita is a very nice and relaxing place, the service is amazing, so are the rooms, the view and most definitely the host! She is very kind and will tell you all about the best places to visit. I went there for four times and I still want to go back, I fell in love with the place and definitely recommend it to anyone.
We spent a week in early September at Villa Romita. We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation is very nice, spacious and very clean, with wonderful views of the Tuscan hills. The welcome of Valeria is very nice for us and our little dog. The cats of the domain also welcomed us very well. Villa Romita is very well located to visit the Chianti, the beautiful cities of Florence and Siena, but also the innumerable small villages all more pleasant than the others.
