The House

There are 4 apartments in the farmhouse, which is from the late '800. It was restored maintaining the original characteristics.

The farmhouse consist of a restaurant with two rooms and 4 apartments: "Federico" (8+2 people), "Roberto" (4+2 people), "Granaio" (6+2 people) und "Cipresso" (4 people).

There is also a swimming pool (12x6x1,4 meters), surrounded by a field of grass where you can relax and enjoy your holiday.

Restaurant

In our restaurant we can welcome up to 50 people.

It has two rooms, a bigger one and a smaller one, just made for a more private ambience.
In our restaurant you can taste some typical menus from our zone like Zuppa Volterrana, the famous Bistecca Fiorentina, specialities like wild boar or pheasant. All this prepared with ingredients from the zone and products from our zone. 

All this accompanied by a good Chianti from nearby cellars and our own extra virgin Olive Oil.

It is possible to choose Half Board (breakfast and diner) on request.

Our olive oil:

We get our olive oil from the olive trees around our farm. It is cold pressed and for that it has a particular delicious taste with a sourness almost zero.

Volterra and its surroundings

Volterra is a historical masterwork, where you can find etruscan, roman and medieval culture. Characteristic for Volterra are its etruscan town walls and gates like: Porta all' Arco Etrusco, Porta San Felice, Porta Fiorentina, Porta Diana, Porta San Francesco, Porta Docciola, Porta Marcoli and Porta a Selci.
Another masterpiece of the town is the roman theater in Vallebona and the etruscan tombs.

One of the main activities in Volterra is the working of alabaster. Still today this job is made with much love and care in the historical centre of the town.

Volterra doesn't offer only history but also an amazing scenery whit its typical hills, the mediterranean "macchia" and the "Balze", a natural erosion of earth which can be seen on the arrival in Volterra.

Volterra is situated in the heart of Tuscany and the most popular towns like Pisa, Florence, Lucca and Siena are within one hour drive. Nearby are the smaller cities like San Gimignano (with the famous towers), Certaldo (birth place of Giovanni Boccaccio) and Vinci (birth place of Leonardo da Vinci).

There are few nature path where you can drive or just walk or explore by bike. Close to Volterra you can also find the thermal villages Gambassi Terme and Casciana Terme.
