Description

Elegant, secluded, and enveloped by the jungle, our B&B offers a getaway for couples, be it on a honeymoon or a romantic reconnection; for travelers seeking an exotic escape; or those who just need a memorable break from the usual routine. Perched on the Northern edge of the El Yunque National Forest at the end of a gated, mile-long driveway, our rustic "boutique style" Puerto Rico bed and breakfast offers secure privacy and a touch of luxury just footsteps from one of the most impressive natural sites in the United States.

At the Rainforest Inn we offer our guests luxury in a terrestrial paradise. Amidst the finest of linens and the antique furniture and cabinets, the spacious showers, bathrooms, and bedrooms, the Rainforest Inn is distinguished by the staff's personal service and islander's intimate knowledge, as well as a limited number of guests.

Without your U.S. passport, feel like you're a thousand miles from civilization, yet immerse yourself in the local Puerto Rican culture. In just ten minutes time you could find yourself wandering popular Luquillo kioskos. Or, in a little more time walking the streets of historic Old San Juan.

After enjoying a day out, return to the Inn and relax as the coqui's song soothes your mind as you slip into sleep. Awaken early to watch the sun rise over the Caribbean sea. Prepare a cup of coffee or tea in your villa, and lay back in your hammock as you wait for the delectable vegetarian breakfast being prepared. Let nature enrapture you as you trek through the undergrowth on our private Lost Machete hike to the top of the Espiritu Santo waterfall. Atop your private waterfall, sun and picnic among the centuries-old stones, or swim in the deep cool natural pool. Return to the Inn, and allow our private masseuse to take you to the peak of relaxation in our peaceful yoga room.

During your stay, be sure to catch the sweeping panoramas of both the caribbean, and the rainforest alike. Spot the peerless variety of tropical birds around the property, and delight in the abundant leaping anoles. We’re extremely proud of what we’ve built here, (especially considering where we started), however, we really want your stay to be highlighted by the timeless natural beauty that encompasses our property. We are devoted to keeping El Yunque exactly the way it is, that’s why we are passionate about making the Rainforest Inn as sustainable as it can be.

Whatever you're looking for, be it plush pillows and a charming room, or maybe a place that cares as much about this planet as you do, or perhaps adventure's in your blood, and you'd like to escape into nature, ultimately, if you're just looking for a unique, relaxing, and beautiful place to spend your next vacation, let us be your hosts and we'll show a side of Puerto Rico that only a few people ever get to see.

THE JUNGLE SUITE

Romantic, spacious, and with views of the El Yunque canopy to spare, the Jungle Suite is like staying in a luxurious treehouse and offers guests the chance to live in nature's lap without sacrificing any comfort. With a large bathroom, two romantic side-by-side large bathtubs with views of El Yunque, an ample-sized kitchen area, and a porch perfect for relaxing, our newest villa will have you resting easy in our utterly unique swing bed after a long, rugged hike or a day at Luquillo beach. Designed for one couple.

THE GARDEN SUITE VILLA

Our Villa is rustic luxury in a two bedroom suite; with a claw foot bath tub, antique furniture, a large private porch, and two bedrooms each with a queen bed, this suite is a favorite of our guests. Sip a hot cup of wonderful Puerto Rican coffee while watching the sun rise over the caribbean, or hang out in one of our two Mayan wedding hammocks and take in the stars while enjoying a nightcap. However you like it, the Villa is a room you won't soon forget. $25 added for each additional person after two.

YUNQUE SUITE

With a view in every room, enough space to suit five guests, and a full kitchen, feel at home amidst the tree ferns and the high palms in our Yunque Suite. Built with original western red cedar, this suite is great for groups (with an additional $25 fee per person over two), and we encourage you to enjoy a cool beverage on the wrap-around porch surrounding the rooms, and take in every sight the Rainforest Inn has to offer.

Booked reservation for relatives who attended family wedding recently. Service was excellent. Bill & Renee made sure they received the best accommodations available during Thanksgiving weekend, which is quite a feat. My parents described the place as magical and out-of-this-world, which is always nice to hear considering they've lived at a 2hr drive distance from the b&b all their lives. They were extremely happy with the amenities and service and left other wedding guests wishing they had stayed here. Would definitely recommend and plan to return.

Staying at the Rainforest Inn exceeded our expectations. The lush grounds and the inn itself were stunningly beautiful; a spiritual paradise. The owner's attention to detail, cleanliness, and gourmet breakfast options (including vegan) were not only beautiful, but delicious and even included local fruits and island coffee options. We were not only able to disconnect and enjoy the sounds of the rain forest (el coqui frog) and cool evening breezes, but we were also able to hike a private trail to a spectacular waterfall, all of it overlooking the mountainside and ocean. We stayed in the Garden villa with the hammocks, and our 12 and 14 year old enjoyed it just as much as we did. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer than two nights. We will be back!

We absolutely love the Rainforest Inn and highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit El Yunque, or just looking for a good B&B in the area. This was our second time staying at Rainforest Inn, and each time has been fantastic. Bill and Renee are great. We made a mistake with our booking, and they were super accommodating. The Inn itself is a paradise. The breakfast is top notch. And you are 20 minutes away from El Yunque. Highly, highly recommend.

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay, the hanging bed was comfortable, the baths on the terrace overlooking the rainforest were very enjoyable as were the hammocks. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were charming and professional. We would highly recommend the Rainforest Inn.

Words can not explain how beautiful the Rainforest Inn is. This was our first trip to PR, I already want to plan the next one. If you love nature this is the place to stay, the views are amazing. Rene and Bill are great.

What a beautiful location, great accommodations, fabulous food and personable, informative hosts! Words cannot adequately describe this beautiful, peaceful place to stay when visiting the Puerto Rican rainforest. I high recommend considering a stay at the Rainforest Inn, if you want to get away from the tourist hubbub in Puerto Rico, and are ready to enjoy a relaxing, replenishing interlude! The grounds are beautiful, the rooms clean and well set up, and the hosts provide great food and go out of their way to provide helpful information and advice about visiting surrounding areas.

We spent two nights at the Rainforest Inn during our honeymoon and loved every minute of it. Bill and Renee are such friendly hosts and they put a lot of love into the place. We were absolutely thrilled with the Jungle Suite -- the hanging bed, the beautiful art, the relaxing hammocks and soaking tubs, the view of the ocean from the shower, and falling asleep to the sound of coqui frogs. Breakfasts were satisfying and delicious. There's a lovely hike on the property that takes you to a waterfall and swimming hole -- bring proper hiking shoes, pants, and water shoes. We also enjoyed meeting the friendly pets. We will definitely stay again during our next visit!

My husband and I and two friends spent three enjoyable nights at the Rainforest Inn in late January, 2020. We stayed in the Garden Villa and loved many things about it. The view from the porch was exquisite, the sound of the coquis at night lulled us to sleep, the beds were comfortable and the furnishings artistic, the gardens were lush, and the breakfasts prepared by Renée were amazing gourmet delights. We had fun getting to know the other guests at the breakfast seating. When we arrived it was raining, but the weather improved the next day. However, the private hiking trail was still extremely muddy -- if you decide to hike, be prepared to have to hose down your hiking boots! Because of Bill and Renée's commitment to environmental stewardship, our stay felt luxurious without the guilt. For example, the plunge pool's water is heated by solar panels

My husband and I stayed for three nights at the Rainforest Inn. The innkeepers, Bill and Renee, are friendly, thoughtful and responsive to every need. The accommodations are first class -- really, our room was an apartment with a full kitchen, living room, bath, and two bedrooms. The bed was very comfortable, the property is very clean and well cared for. The location is amazing with stunning views. Breakfast is delicious and served on a covered porch. Visiting with the other guests and chatting with the innkeepers was a highlight. We had an excursion planned the first day and needed to leave before breakfast was served. Renee provided us with eggs, croissants, fig jam, juice and other food the evening before so that we could make our breakfast early in the morning before we left. We highly recommend the Rainforest Inn and will surely return when we visit Puerto Rico again.

I spent two short nights here with my boyfriend and mother and we loved our stay. Gorgeous, tranquil surroundings, wonderful hosts, comfortable rooms, exquisite breakfasts, friendly company, a fantastic (albeit very muddy!) hike, and even a peaceful yoga/meditation room. Definitely recommended!
