Description
The farm belongs to my family since the beginning of the XXth century.

My grand-parents lived in the farm and now we work here producing organic extravergine olive oil and organic red wine.

14 years ago my sister Alessandra and me decided to start with a new adventure: we restored two old farm-houses to rent during Spring and Summer time.

I'd give you any information you'd like to have, please, contact me for any details you'd like to know.

The farm lies on the Tuscan hills, it is about 300 mt high.
It sets in the Chianti Colli Fiorentini Area.
The countryside here is caracterized by olive groves and vineyards, but in the nearby woods you can also enjoy the wild life of plants and animals like boars, porcupines, squirrels, foxes and many kinds of birds.

In the Autumn time we have two special appointments: the harvest of the grapes and the olives season. Our guests generally come back everytime to enjoy the work and...the great party we have!!

ACCOMODATION

At this farm you'll find a housy and familiar place. Here you'll be apart from many of the modern comforts: no TV, no phone calls, no air conditioning...it will take you in touch with nature and the country life-style of Tuscan farmers...and soon you'll appreciate the quiet and the self-relaxation: a good glass of wine in the fresh of the summer evenings, the importance of small things around you, the difference of everyday's life, the signs of the season, the growing of the plants in front of your house door, the farmworks....I think you'll enjoy all this and it will make your time at Podere special...

The accomodation in the farm is in the two farm-houses.

TERRAZZA: farm-house is for 2 people

You get in the house passing by a stone stair-case and here you find a huge panoramic terrace with table and chairs for two persons. Entering in the house you find a large sitting room, cotto floor and beamed roof, in wich you have a nice kitchen in marble with four gas fire, owen and fridge/freezer; table and chairs. The comfortable bathroom (with shower) has blue ceramics and the bedroom has a double bed, bathroom and bedroom have both beamed roof and nice forniture

LOGGIA: farm-house is for 4/6 people

In front of the cell of the farm there is the entrance of the farm house, where a large fire place gives you its "welcome" in the nice ancient kitchen with a marble sink and blue windows.

The kitchen has four gas fires and the owen, fridge and freezer, table and chairs. Near the kitchen you have a sitting room with armchairs. You reach the first floor passing through an ancient stone stair: a double bedroom furnished in the beginning of XXth century style, another double-bedroom and the small bathroom (with shower) are there. Passing through a nice wodden spiral staircase you arrive in the underoof bedroom, caracterized by ancient Tuscan cotto floor, beautiful beamed roof and the view on the swimming pool.

SURROUNDINGS

The farm rest on a hillside near the medioeval village of Mosciano (sec XIII). To get there you can pass through the wood and you can also go on walks or bike in the surrounding woods.

The center of FIRENZE (Florence) is just 10 Km far from this farm. We have a wonderful view of the city from the farm! You can get there with your car or by
bus

The farm is also a good point to start your trips for some of the main Tuscan towns and villages: Montelupo (15km) San Gimignano (50km) Siena (80 km) Pisa (80km) Vinci (20km) ...these are just an example

The accomodation includes the use of energy, water, gas, products for the firsts days breakfast and other products (by our production: jam, wine, olive-oil. The other products are from Italian and local production: water, sugar, milk, bread, vinegar, salt), the use of the garden and the pool, the use of barbecue, painting material, information and reservation for the visit of Firenze, its surroundings and Tuscany.
