Tucked away in the little village of EL PILAR de LUBRIN in the heart of Almeria’s glorious countryside, This hotel is an award-winning eight-bedroom boutique hotel with swimming pool.

Our family-run accommodation has bundles of character and is one of the most photographed houses in the traditional “White Village” of EL PILAR de LUBRIN. Expect a warm welcome, stylish accommodation without the fuss, and delicious home-cooked cuisine in our top-rated restaurant.

A Place to Disconnect

Our boutique hotel lies just 45 minutes inland from the coastal town of Mojacar and an hour’s drive from the capital city of Almeria.

Located in the ancient hamlet of El Pilar. nestled between the towns of Lubrin, Sorba and Uleila de Campo, in the picturesque Lubrin Valley, affectionately known as the Valley of Tranquility. This is a blissful location, where the only noise pollution you will encounter is the sound of the Spanish cicada and birdsong. 

In fact, we have a motto in the Almerian campo (countryside): Desconectar para reconectar, which literally translates to ‘disconnect to reconnect’. We promise that after a few days stay at this hotel, you’ll have completely disconnected from the hustle and bustle and stresses of everyday life.

Surrounding the spacious hallway and dramatic picture window alcove, you are welcomed by our eight stylish and comfortable en-suite rooms, furnished with sumptuous beds. This attractive and distinctive accommodation in the Almeria region of Andalucia offers a choice of twin, double, family, executive, and wheelchair-access rooms, each with an individual charm.

Bedroom One

Bedroom One is one of our easy-access rooms and is suitable for wheelchair users.  It opens onto the beautiful traditional village of el Pilar, and gives charming views of its pristine white streets.  You can enjoy the comfort of this beautifully appointed room in complete tranquillity, or venture out to meet the very friendly neighbours.  You will also have a direct route to the restaurant on the same floor. (Max 2 persons).

Bedroom Two is one of our ground-floor easy-access rooms, equally suitable for those who have restricted mobility as for those who simply want proximity to the delightful village of El Pilar”.

Bedroom Three

Bedroom Three, is a spacious double room on the upper floor of the casona, and has a charming character of its own. A fine example of Hotel’s flair for gracefully blending rustic tradition with modern elegance, the room looks over a flower-decked street of the old village through a large sunny traditional-style door and Juliet balcony, and the bedroom features one of the old stone walls of the original house. (Max 2 persons).

Bedroom Four

Bedroom Four, on the upper floor, is appointed in crisp white and elegant blues, with its deliciously comfortable bed tucked under a bright window from which you can watch the sun rise over the Filabres mountains. A Juliet balcony affords another view, of the beautifully proportioned white streets of old El Pilar village. (Max 2 persons).

Bedroom Five, a spacious and elegant room on the upper floor of the Casona, is decorated in warm and earthy orange and brown tones and the crisp white of the traditional village.

From the time-honoured casona accommodation to the idyllic region it’s nestled in, a stay at this hotel is a unique experience appreciated by travellers looking for an off-the-beaten-track adventure in Andalucía.

Transformed from a 120-year old colonial manor house, Hotel was born out of many months of love, sweat and quite a few tears. During which we endeavoured to create a homely atmosphere where guests would encounter the past and still enjoy the comforts of the present.

Through the delicious spring and balmy summer months, the best place to hang out is around the hotel saltwater plunge pool and Jacuzzi.

De persoonlijke benadering van Clayton en Rachel. Je voelt je meteen welkom en ze doen alles om net die extra beleving aan je verblijf toe te voegen. In de kamer kom je niets tekort en eten in het restaurant is heerlijk. Geweldig!

Se nos quedó corta la estancia. La decoración del lugar, cama súper cómoda, los dueños majísimos, súper limpio...Si necesitáis descontentar y relajaros es el sitio idóneo. La piscina, el jacuzzi, alrededores...ideal. El restaurante del hotel, Albar, delicioso, casero y depende de la época cosas de su huerto. ¡Ojalá volver pronto!

Clayton, Rachel y Amanda súper atentos, simpáticos y serviciales. Ayudan en todo y te sugieren lugares y visitas. Se amoldan a tus necesidades casi personalizadamente El restaurante fenomenal. Fuimos de paso, (dos noches), de Granada a Barcelona y nos encantó. El lugar, relax, la cocina, fue tan buena que hicimos todas las comidas de la estancia, en el Rte. Albar. Simplemente exquisito. Pero lo que realmente nos encantó fue la simpatía y cordialidad de su dueño Clay. Nos sentimos como en casa. Volveremos seguro. Un fuerte abrazo, amigo !!!

Un entorno excelente para desconectar y perderse, con mucho gusto decorado y grandes anfitriones atentos a todo. Las pizzas riquísimas, caseras, en horno de leña… muy recomendables….Actualmente lo tienen muy limpio y con todas las medidas de seguridad (COVID), gel hidroalcoholico por todas partes, personal con mascarillas y distancia de seguridad entre mesas del restaurante. Muy recomendable, volveremos en otra ocasión.

Clay, Rachel et Amanda sont incroyables ! ! Soyez sûrs qu'ils seront la pour tout ce dont vous avez besoin ! L'endroit est tellement mignon, acceuillant, magnifique, reposant ! ! ! De plus nous sommes un couple de femmes et ce sont des personnes tellement ouvertes d'esprit, merci beaucoup a eux ! Bref des vacances de rêves pour deconnecter et de superbes rencontres. Ha sido un sitio mágico! Clayton, Raquel y Amanda son geniales, super simpáticos, super simpático, siempre con una sonrisa... La comida genial, cenamos las tres noches allí, ya que no queríamos coger coche y no puedo ser más fantástico!! Las pizzas, riquísimas,la carne magnífica! Y el desayuno es alucinante, todo detalle, de verdad! Las camas eran increíbles! Super limpios!teníamos toallas para el baño pero también la piscina!! No tuvimos que usar las que nos habíamos llevado nosotros! Volveremos sin ninguna duda!!!

Excelente trato por parte del personal. Nos hemos sentido muy acogidos en Casona Granado. Desayuno y cena de 10, cada detalle muy cuidado. Piscina muy limpia y tranquila; y habitación con una cama extra grande y muy confortable. Sin duda repetiremos!
