Our Agriturismo is located in the heart of Tuscany in a central area between Pisa, Florence and Siena, in the municipality of Montecatini Val Di Cecina, an ancient medieval village with an ancient mining quarry and only 10 km from Volterra, easily reachable. even by bus.

It is completely immersed in the wonderful Tuscan countryside, in the heart of the Val Di Cecina.

In its vicinity (a few kilometers) we can find numerous places of great historical interest, such as: Volterra, Pomarance, San Gimignano, Castelnuovo Val di Cecina and Larderello, where the most important geothermal power plant in Italy is located.

"Avena" Apartment

This is the cereal that has the closest link with the vital edifying forces and that remains green for the longest time. The cultivation of oats is lost in the mists of time: in general, it is traced back to the Chinese, Egyptians and Indians.

The Greeks used it for medicinal purposes, as a tonic and anti-inflammatory. It seems that the plant was imported into Italy by the legionaries of Julius Caesar: during their stay in Gaul and Germany, the soldiers had noticed that the indigenous populations made a very wide use of it: they used it to make bread and polenta.

Tacitus attributed to the plant great qualities: he wrote that, thanks to the high quantities of ingested oats, individuals of the Germanic populations died at a very late age, after having lived a life without diseases.

The “Avena” apartment, of the farmhouse, has an independent entrance, is welcoming and carefully designed. The colors are harmonious and relaxing. By staying you can experience the typical atmosphere of the Tuscan countryside, for short or long holidays.

"Orzo" apartment

"Farro" apartment
