Modern well appointed 5* Lodge with hot-tub and lakeside view on family spa resort near Padstow / Newquay, with free access to indoor heated pool, sauna, steam and fitness room. On-site restaurant and bar.

Ideal for exploring Cornwall, 10-15 minutes to fantastic beaches, local attractions and dining experiences. Centrally located you are within an hour of most of Cornwall's famous landmarks. Great for couples and families with children who want a self-catering base to journey out from.

The space

A light and airy lodge with open plan kitchen and family area, separate lounge with flat screen Smart TV with Freeview (HDMI cable available for you to attach your own device), DVD, Xbox 360, free WI-FI . Fully equipped kitchen with large fridge freezer, dishwasher and NESPRESSO machine (Please bring your own CitiZ capsules). Utility area with washer dryer, iron, ironing board and airer. Wheelchair access to two ground floor bedrooms, wet room/WC, kitchen diner and family area.

Four double bedrooms which can be arranged as super king or twin. Solid oak furniture. Master with ensuite. All linen provided which is the highest quality Egyptian cotton. Two bedrooms located downstairs, two upstairs. Two bedrooms large enough to accommodate a travel cot.

High spec Villeroy & Boch bathrooms throughout. Ground floor limestone wet room with large rain shower. First floor bathroom with large jacuzzi bath, separate shower, shaver point. En-suite shower room with shaver point.

Fully catering for young families, we provide a travel cot, highchair, retractable stair gates top and bottom, microwave steriliser and baby bath.

Private decked area to rear overlooking lake with 6 seater hot tub, garden furniture and BBQ.

Fully serviced to 5* standard, includes fluffy bath sheets and a minimum of two robes. Welcome pack on arrival with a few basics: complimentary tea and coffee; milk; biscuits and dishwasher tablets. Supermarket deliveries (Tesco & Sainsbury's) are available direct to the lodge.

Guest access

Guests have access to all site facilities: Pool; sauna; steam room; spa treatments*; fitness room; children's park; Flow Rider*; Wake Park*, *Water activities, restaurant and bar.

*Resort charges may apply, some facilities seasonal.

Other things to note

STRICTLY NO STAG OR HEN PARTIES OR MALE/FEMALE ONLY GROUPS. STRICTLY NO PARTY WEEKENDS. DAMAGE & NON COMPLIANCE OF HOUSE RULES WILL BE CHARGED TO SECURITY DEPOSIT. STRICTLY NO ADDITIONAL GUESTS, MAXIMUM 8 ADULTS, BREACH OF RULES WILL RESULT IN CHARGE TO DEPOSIT

WHITE TOWELS PROVIDED NOT TO BE TAKEN OUTSIDE THE LODGE. GUESTS MUST BRING THEIR OWN TOWLES FOR HOT TUB, POOL & BEACH. DAMAGE TO WHITE TOWELS WILL BE CHARGED.

PRICE INFORMATION - We are happy to discuss discounts for stays between 3-5 nights during low to mid season. School holidays during February, Easter, May, October and July / August we only accept 7 night bookings Saturday to Saturday.

The hot-tub is optional. If you do not require use of the hot-tub we can deduct £50 from your stay. Please also note that the tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled after each stay, therefore we cannot guarantee the water will be up to temperature on arrival.

We will e-mail our welcome pack to you before your stay which details all important information regarding the lodge. However house rules to note are:

* White towels provided are for INSIDE the lodge only, guests must bring their own for the hot tub, pool and beach.

* Any issues with the hot tub please contact Retallack reception, do not try to rectify the problem yourself. Please shower before use. Sand, sun lotion etc can clog the filter.

* We expect all guests to leave the lodge clean and tidy. On departure, please ensure that:

- All food is cleared from the fridge & cupboards and taken away with you.
- The dishwasher is emptied and all clean crockery is put away
- All towels are placed in the bathrooms
- All rubbish and recycling MUST be taken away with you and left at the waste depot at the top of the resort
- All board games, DVD's & Xbox leads must be packed away

Location

Set in tranquil secluded surroundings overlooking the lake, the resort is in peaceful countryside, yet only 5 minutes from the A30. Wadebridge 6 miles, Padstow 8 miles, St Austell 12 miles, Newquay and Rock 15 miles.

Getting around

Transport is required if you intend to leave the resort and explore Cornwall. There are great cycle trails nearby e.g. the Camel Trail, however it is advised to drive there as the cornish roads are narrow. Taxis are available.

Stayed 2 nights, group of 7 adults. Absolutely fabulous. House is spacious, clean, high spec furniture, luxury linen, towels. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony enjoying the morning sunshine. Ate at the restaurant on-site, not too bad at all, great to be able to stagger the short distance downhill home! Highly recommend staying at no 102, can’t think of any improvements, rare these days!

We have just returned form a fantastic weekend at Mel and Paul’s lodge and had a wonderful time. The lodge is clean and spacious with a great hot tub on the balcony. Great location for exploring the Padstow area and fab to have use of the swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Mel and Paul were helpful, responsive and flexible before and during our stay and I would recommend them as hosts.

A beautiful property and surroundings with stunning views. The lodge is extremely spacious with a choice of upstairs or downstairs balconies overlooking the lake, and with an option to enjoy the spectacular scenery whilst easing those weary muscles in a very capacious hot tub was incredible. It has great sized rooms with a very sociable layout with a wonderful decor. An amazing complex and perfectly situated with Wadebridge, Padstow, St Eval and Newquay very easily accessible and being the main places we were visiting. Melanie, our host, was incredibly helpful providing us with all the information we could possibly need. I would highly recommend the lodge for any type of holiday that you wanted as you could tailor your trip to suit your desires with so many options and activities locally available.
