The historical depth of this ancient historic residence stretches out over the kilometres of timeless landscapes and ancient legends that revolve around Levanto, a charming village that rises up on the Ligurian Riviera di Levante. It is said that the Corradi family was a branch of the Gonzaga family in Mantua that settled in Santa Maria di Godano, a small village on the outskirts of Levanto, when members of Gonzaga family accompanied Otto IV to Rome to be crowned Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. The Corradi, arrived in Levanto towards the end of 14th Century and for a period become owners of La Madonnetta. The Corradi family always kept the original family name without ever changing it into Gonzaga. Over the centuries this charming little church that overlooks one of the most beautiful views of the bay of Levanto became the home of artists and musicians, which it continued to be until the early Eighteen Century.
