Sleeps six and is 135 m2. This ‘jewel in the crown’ is a spacious apartment consisting of three double bedrooms (with the possibility of adding an additional bed), two bathrooms (one with a bathtub, one with a shower), a fully equipped kitchen with oven and dishwasher, a large dining room, and a sitting room with a wood-burning stove. A fantastic feature of this apartment is its large terrace which offers splendid views across the valley and is ideal for relaxing on or for enjoying pre-dinner drinks! A stone staircase from the terrace leads directly down into the garden.
Agriturismo Borgo Poggiolo is perched on a hilltop. Overlooking an untouched wooded valley, it is set in the gentle Umbrian hills, between Orvieto, Todi and Perugia and close to the border with Tuscany. The 17th century farm buildings have been faithfully restored in the typical local style, retaining many original features and all of its authenticity and rustic charm. It’s divided into four self-catering apartments which sleep two, four and six people. Additionally, there are three separate double rooms. It’s the perfect place to come and explore the tranquil Umbrian countryside or just relax with a good book by the wonderful swimming pool (6x17 m²) with spectacular panoramic views, accompanied by a background of birdsong. We are ideally situated for walking or mountain biking, great way of exploring the hilltops, valleys and woods. We offer also mountain bikes-archery - lawn bowling and a games room for use by everyone, equipped with a table tennis table. A laundry is available. All apartments have a private outside seating area. If you like the arts, nature and genuine home -made cuisine and are looking for a wonderful place to relax, you will feel perfectly at home here! The village of San Venanzo (10 km. away) is full of character and has shops, cafes as well as a volcanological park and museum. The delightful medieval hilltops villages as Città della Pieve, Monteleone, Montegabbione and Montegiove needs to be visited. Close to Montegiove are the gardens of “la Scarzuola”, a Franciscan convent, founded by St.Francis of Assisi in 1218, but acquired by the Milanese architect, Tomaso Buzzi, in 1956. La Scarzuola now boasts stunning gardens and an outdoor theatre complex (“The Ideal City”), which has to be seen with the English speaking guide to be believed! We can organise horse riding lessons through a local stable, as well as guided tours on horseback through the amazing countryside and gentle hills. Organized cellar tours and wine tasting. After the tour you can taste their delicious wines.

In low season: the daily rate is 35-40 euros per person, two days 70 euros. In high season :a stay of minimal 1 week is required, usually from Saturday till Saturday. Additional bed 15 euros. The rate includes: weekly change of bed linen and wood for the stoves. A washing machine is available. The rate of the apartments not includes: final cleaning (€10 per person), heating. Taking over all the accommodations is an optional for a group of 20-22 people for a family event, course, or to celebrate a birthday with friends from all over the world.
Following your reservation we require a 30% deposit made payable within 5 days after your reservation to our bank account. The remaining 70% is due 1 month before arriving at Borgo Poggiolo.
