The Andersons' have combined their passion for wine and their newfound love for Croatia to create the leading bespoke haven Korta Katarina Winery and Hotel in Orebić, Croatia.

The family purchased the well-known “Rivijera” hotel on the shore of the Adriatic coast and after almost a decade of planning, architectural design and construction Villa Katarina opened its doors to the first guests in September 2018. A very secluded and exclusive property designed with great attention to detail Villa Katarina completes their investment in this part of Croatia.

Eight individually styled suites, aimed with the discerning traveller in mind, are elegantly distributed throughout the spacious stone villa. All the suites have a unique signature from our designer Mrs. Marie Meko and combine cutting edge technology and stylish fixtures. Every room has a different story to tell, every room its own personal touch and all have one thing in common – endless vistas over the Adriatic. Orebić has a long and rich history with all things maritime. Over the centuries this relatively small city has been home to numerous sea captains. And after sailing the high seas these captains constructed their mansions and villas throughout the town. Villa Katarina is part of this naval history and an extensive renovation has brought a new shine to this elegant property.

From hiking to biking and of course making the most of the glinting sea on your doorstep you’ll find a wealth of activities just waiting to take you on a journey. Orebić has a strong tradition and history with all things nautical and in the town you’ll find the delightful Orebić Old Captains Heritage with an especially organised private tour. And if its authenticity you want then we would certainly suggest the grape and olive picking experience.
