The holiday house for 4 persons

This enchanting traditional cave house, typical of Santorini and Megalochori, is located at a few steps from the main square of this beautiful traditional village.

It has a private entrance, with two terraces, one on the house level, where you can enjoy outdoor living with a white stone barbecue, and the other terrace can be reached through a white stone staircase, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the village on one side, and on the other side you can give a glance to the sea.

The holiday house inside is furnished with beautiful handmade furniture made in Crete island. You can find a very large living room, with a sofa bed suitable for 2 persons, a fire place and a fully equipped kitchen, completed with a dishwasher.

In the bathroom with shower there is also a washing machine. The bedroom is spacious, with a queen size bed, a wardrobe and a big wooden old chest. The house is air conditioned and in the bedroom there is also a ceiling fan.

Holiday destination

Megalochori is a beautiful traditional village on the east coast of Santorini, with a history that dates back to the 17th century. It's only 5 minutes distance by car from main town of Fira and 5 minutes from the popular Perissa Beach and Kamari Beach.

It's also at a walking distance from the magnificent Caldera View. The village itself has a nice mixture of cream and white Cycladic houses with contrasting colourful wooden doors and a fair few white churches with bright blue domes for good measure.

It’s a culturally rich town, boasting beautiful, traditional architecture, and a good selection of churches.

The town’s narrow streets are lined with churches and cafés, museums and bars, and Megalochori also lies at the centre of Santorini’s wine industry.

The Boutari Winery for example, is a popular tourist attraction, and produces some of the most famous wines in Greece. The town itself boasts a large number of restaurants and tavernas, all of which proudly stock a selection of locally produced wines.

Try it alongside local specialities such as seafood, for a truly memorable meal. You’ll be able to find some great places to eat and drink during a holiday to Megalochori.

Getting there

Guest can choose if they want a transfer service from the Airport or they can reach the property with a taxi. Staff from Athermi Suites Hotel, with which I cooperate, will welcome the guests, do the check in and then they will transfer the guests to the house, which is 5 minutes distance fro the hotel.
