This 17th century farmhouse is situated within a picturesque, agricultural area only 2 minutes from the beach. The house has been restored in keeping with its original style, and with maximum comfort in mind. Guests may enjoy the use of our two living rooms, a dining room, two terraces and a windowed balcony.

This is a beautiful farmhouse with 11 bedrooms keeping all the rustic charm and provide a warm and family ambient.The rooms, all outward facing, are fully equipped with central heating and all have their own bathrooms. As fruit farming has been our way of life for many generations, each room has been individualised by being named after a different fruit (such as apple, pear, peach) in order to reflect this important aspect of our heritage.

Rooms

Strawberry : Standard double room located on the first floor of the farmhouse with stone walls, 150 x 200 bed and bathroom with shower. Has access to a large terrace with fabulous views over the Empordà and the sea.

Apricot : Standard double room located on the first floor of the farmhouse with stone walls, 150 x 200 bed and bathroom with shower. It has a balcony overlooking the garden.

Lemon : Standard double room located on the first floor of the farmhouse with stone walls, 150 x 200 bed and bathroom with shower. Has access to a large terrace with fabulous views over the Empordà and the sea.

Pear : Wide superior double room located on the first floor of the farmhouse with stone walls, 200 x 200 bed and bathroom. Has access to a large terrace with fabulous views over the Empordà and the sea.

Apple : Large superior double room on the first floor of the house for up to 4 people. It has a bedroom with bed 150 x 200, a balcony overlooking the garden, one bedroom annex where there could be 2 beds 90 x 200, bathroom and a large private terrace with views of the exuberant Empordà and agricultural areas of apple trees.

Peach : Standard double room on the first floor of the house for up to 4 people. Contains 2 single beds 90 x 200 and there could be 2 extra beds, a balcony overlooking the farm and a bathroom.

Plum : Standard double room on the first floor of the house for up to 4 people. Contains 2 single beds 90 x 200 and there could be 2 extra beds, a balcony overlooking the farm and a bathroom.

Grape : Standard double room located on the ground floor of the farmhouse, with stone walls, 2 beds 90 x 200, and bathroom window that faces garden walk. Its dimensions approved for disability.

Cherry : Wide superior double room located in the front garden with independent entrance and it has maximum capacity for 3 people. There is a bed 150 x 200, a 90 x 200 complementary sofabed, a bathroom with shower and a terrace garden  to enjoy the quite summer sunsets. Room of 25 m².

Orange : Wide superior double room located in the front garden with independent entrance and it has maximum capacity for 3 people. There is a bed 150 x 200, a 90 x 200 complementary sofabed, a bathroom with shower and a terrace garden  to enjoy the quite summer sunsets. Room of 25 m².

Melon : Wide superior double room located in the front garden with independent entrance and it has maximum capacity for 3 people. There is a bed 150 x 200, a 90 x 200 complementary sofabed, a bathroom with shower and a terrace garden  to enjoy the quite summer sunsets. Room of 25 m².

Apartment : Two-storey detached house next to the farmhouse. It has a fully equipped kitchen, living room converted into bedroom for 3 people, bathroom, large double room with bed 150×200 and bathroom with shower hidromassage. Its surface is 70 m² and has a capacity for 5 people.

Activities : The privileged location of this place will allow you to do all kinds of sports: golf, skydiving, horse riding along the beach, ultralight rides, and enjoy our river and coast with water sports like windsurfing, fly-surfing, diving, waterskiing, sailing, catamaran, etc., and trips to surrounding interesting touristic places.

Direction by Car

For those coming from France via the border at La Jonquera, or for those coming from Barcelona, take the AP-7 motorway, exiting at Junction (‘salida’) 5, sign posted L’Escala-Empúries. Once through the exit tolls (‘peatge’), keep to the left, following signs to L’Escala on the GI-623 road. Keep on this road all the way until you arrive at L’Escala. At the first roundabout you come to at L’Escala, you will see the Tourist Office ahead to the right. At this roundabout take the 3rd exit in the direction of Sant Martí d’Empúries. Follow this road (the GIP-6307), pass the village of Sant Martí d’Empúries and follow direction Sant Pere Pescador. Before arriving to the center you will see our sign on the road: Masia rural ( Bed & Breakfast). You’ve arrived!

If you are coming from Girona, then follow the national road NII in a northerly direction (singposted ‘Francia’) until you reach Orriols where you take the turn off onto the GI-623 signposted L’Escala. Keep on this road all the way until you arrive at L’Escala. At the first roundabout you come to at L’Escala, you will see the Tourist Office ahead to the right. At this roundabout take the 3rd exit in the direction of Sant Martí d’Empúries. Follow this road (the GIP-6307), pass the village of Sant Martí d’Empúries and follow direction Sant Pere Pescador. If you are coming by Plane

Girona-Costa Brava Airport. We recommend that you hire a car at the airport and follow the above driving directions from Girona. You will see the NII road signposted from the main roundabout once you have driven out of the airport. Public transport from this airport is not recommended. The only other alternative will be to take a taxi to Sant Pere Pescador.

Barcelona Airport. We recommend that you hire a car at the airport and follow the above driving directions from Barcelona. Once you have left the airport, follow the signs for Girona until you come to the motorway AP-7. Taking a taxi will be an extremely expensive option and public transport is not an easy method due to the fact that none arrive directly at Sant Pere Pescador.

El trato del personal muy atento y super agradables, las instalaciones, la habitación y la piscina todo muy cuidado. La ubicación genial y muy tranquilo..el desayuno muy bien también!

La casa es muy bonita y el entorno es precioso. La habitación muy amplia y limpia. El servicio muy amable. A unos 1'5km esta la playa, se puede llegar dando un paseo entre los campos. .También se puede acceder en coche.. Totalmente recomendable!!!

Limpieza, desayuno, trato al cliente y el hecho de poder llegar a la playa caminando. Piscina podría ser un poquito más grande y el espacio de jardín, pero esto ya no depende tanto de los dueños; hay lo que hay y lo que hay está de muy buena calidad.

It's always tricky writing reviews like this as they don't sound believable, but... Can Mas is absolutely beautiful - great location, lovely building, spacious comfortable rooms, pool, easy parking, honesty bar and a lovely breakfast. It's a short walk to restaurants and also the beach (we were windsurfing). The hostess/owner Monty could not be more helpful - even helped me scan some urgent work documents Er - we liked it!

Great and clean room, beautiful location in fruit groves (just a 2-minute car ride from a beautiful (nudists) wide and long stretch of sandy beaches which was not overcrowded.

Great breakfast, goes well beyond pastry that is a typical breakfast for this region. Beautiful setting, right next to Mas Guso grounds. The owner keeps a close eye to ensure guests' comfort. Very clean and well organised compare to other Masias we have been to.
