Description
In the beautiful, rural and quiet area of ​​Dwingeloo, in the heart of Drenthe, lies holiday home between trees and fields. The holiday home was built in 1920 and a forge was located here until the end of the last century.

Our house is located on a beautiful cobblestone road surrounded by old oak trees and overlooks the meadows of the hamlet of Eemster. Behind the house is a large garden with a pond and a magnificent view of the surroundings. There are several terraces and places in the garden to relax. Peace, quiet, nature, bird sounds and a relaxed atmosphere determine the image of this beautiful place.

To let other people enjoy the beautiful surroundings, the garden and the peace and quiet, we rent out our secret annex as a holiday home or as a Bed & Breakfast for a maximum of 4 people. From May 2011 we have a second, new holiday residence. This holiday residence is also suitable as a holiday home or as a Bed & Breakfast for up to 4 people.

Holiday home 1

The holiday home is located at the rear of the Nieuwe Smederij and overlooks the garden, the fields and a large pond. You can stay in the holiday home with a maximum of 4 people.

The groundfloor

On this floor there is a large and spacious living room with open kitchen. In the kitchen you have access to a dishwasher, a combination microwave, a Senseo machine, a coffee machine, a Nespresso machine, a kettle and a fridge-freezer combination. The living room has a television, radio and DVD player.

There is a spacious bedroom on the ground floor with two single beds with box spring mattresses. The bathroom has a toilet, a sink and a shower. From the holiday home, on the terrace or in the garden you can enjoy the beautiful view, the pond and the tranquility.

The upper floor

Upstairs is a second bedroom with also two single beds with box spring mattresses. There is also a bathroom with a toilet and a sink.

General

In the living room you have access to a large collection of books and DVDs; In addition, there is free internet available. The holiday home is heated by means of underfloor heating and central heating. There is also a gas fireplace in the living room. Smoking is not allowed in the holiday home and, unfortunately, neither are pets.

The rent includes kitchen linen. You can also rent a towel package, a sheet package or both. If you rent a linen package, the beds will be made for you. All duvets are single duvets.

A high chair and a cot are available in the holiday home.

Holiday home 2

In May 2011, we started renting out our second holiday home. This holiday home is newly built (wood frame) and is also located at the rear of De Nieuwe Smederij. You have a beautiful view of the garden, the fields and the large pond. The holiday home is connected to holiday home 1 and is on the ground floor. You can also stay here with a maximum of 4 people.

The vacation home

The spacious living room is garden-oriented with patio doors to a large terrace. The living room also has an open kitchen with a dishwasher, a combination microwave, a Senseo machine, a coffee machine, a Nespresso machine, a kettle and a fridge with freezer compartment. In addition, the kitchen has a sink island. The living room has a television, radio and DVD player.

The holiday home has two spacious bedrooms, each with two single beds with box-spring mattresses. The bathroom has a spacious bath, sink and shower corner with rain shower. Next to the bathroom you will find the toilet.

General

In the living room you have access to books and DVDs; In addition, there is free internet available. The entire holiday home is heated by means of underfloor heating. Smoking is not allowed in the holiday home and, unfortunately, neither are pets.

Bed & Breakfast

Would you like to enjoy Dwingeloo and the surrounding area and also stay one or more nights with us including breakfast? No problem. Our two holiday homes are also used as Bed & Breakfast.

You can sleep well in our box-spring beds and in the morning enjoy a delicious breakfast with a view of the garden, our pond and the farmlands. When the weather is nice, we serve you breakfast in the garden or on the terrace. In the guest rooms you can make (free) tea or coffee or enjoy a (cool) drink. On the large, spacious sofas it is possible to watch television or enjoy one of our DVDs or books.

Holiday home 1 has two Bed & Breakfast rooms. If you are alone or in pairs, you have access to the bedroom on the ground floor and a private bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.

With three or four people you can also use the bedroom on the first floor. This bedroom has an adjacent bathroom with a toilet and a sink. You can shower in the bathroom on the ground floor.

Holiday home 2 also has two Bed & Breakfast rooms. You have access to one of the bedrooms and the bathroom with sink, rain shower and bath if you come alone or in pairs.

If you come with three or four people, you must share the toilet and bathroom.

Terms and Conditions
Payment Policy
Third and fourth person: each 25 euro p.p.p.n. Cleaning costs 50 euros. A guest can rent bed linen, towels, a bike (not electric) or have breakfast. In Holland you have to pay touristtax (1,75 euros p.p.p.n.) Half of the rent must be paid within two weeks after the conclusion of this agreement. The other half of the rent must be paid no later than six weeks before the start of the rental period. If the booking is made within six weeks before the start of the rental period, the rent must be paid immediately and in one go. Cancellation Policy
If you unexpectedly cancel your reservation, there are costs involved. In case of cancellation longer than 1 month before the start of the rental period, half of the rent remains due. The rental agreement is dissolved if the total rent or half of this amount has not been paid within the stipulated period.
