If you want a quite villa with spectacular mountain and sea view 5 minutes from the center of Platania then you have made the right choise! Villa Maria is a beautiful 3 floor house just some kilometers away from the best beaches of Platania.
The space
Majestic Villa is a 3 floor house located in small quite village called Vrises. At the first floor you will find your welcome basket with the traditional delicacies on the living room. In the same area is also a big kitchen fully equiped and the living room with a 42" cable Tv. At the same floor there is also a bathroom and o big balcony where you can take your breakfast emjoying the breathtaking view. The wooden roof gives a cozy atmosphere that will make you feel like home. On the second floor there is a big bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom and again a big balcony. On the ground floor are located the two other bedrooms. One bedroom with a king size bed and the other with a double bed. There is a bathroom as well. All the bedrooms are equiped with 32" TVs. Once, you step out of the bedrooms you will see a big yard with a football table and a big space to sit and relax. A little further you will see the swimming pool. After your swim you can go straight to the bathroom which is next to the pool and take your bath.
Interaction with guests
You will find rakomelo and a basket with traditional delicacies such as lychnarakia and anevata. I will also be happy to help you any moment during your stay.
The neighborhood
Vrises is a small, peaceful village just 5 minutes by car from Platanias. The green landscape will take your breath away and I am sure that it will be an unforgetable image on your memory. It is a quite place that however it is next to one of the most lively areas of Chania, the area of Platanias and Agia Marina. Platanias and Agia Marina have some of the best cafes, restaurants, beach bars, clubs and of course beaches. The center of Chania is approximately 20 minutes by car.

The Villa was beautifully presented and extremely comfortable. We were show to the Villa and given a tour around ensuring we knew where everything was and where to turn lights on etc. the inside of the villa was lovely and smelt divine :) It was so welcoming to arrive to a beautifully set table and a lovely aroma. The rooms were a good size and with three bathrooms inside and an extra one out by the pool we were very well catered for. The pool area was lovely for catching the sun in the morning and having a cooling dip. My boys and girls really enjoyed that the owners had kindly put a lilo and a flamingo ring for their use. A very kind and much appreciated extra. It was lovely to have the choice to dine outside and also to have a place to relax in the shade, my dad enjoyed reading on the comfy cushions. Everything was really set up to make our holiday as enjoyable as possible. We found the location suited us as we could travel west to Falassana and east to Chania and the beaches we like such as Stavros and Marathi. We did. Not spend much time in the more tourist areas of Platanas although we had a good meal at the fish restaurant near the beach one evening and it was only a 10 minute drive it that. Was what you enjoy. We also found the villa very convenient for the visiting the Botanical gardens, the water park (limonopolis) and for Chania town. We had a really excellent stay. Many thanks.
We had an amazing stay at Marias house. The house is big, clean and has everything that you wish for. Maria has been a wonderful hostess and has been very helpful and advised us about beaches, and other beautiful places to visit. Whenever we needed Marias help she answered us immediately. If you want a relaxing holiday and stay a bit undisturbed, I really recommend Maria's amazing house.
The stay in Maria's house was perfect, nothing to complain about, we advise without reserve this adress. Maria has always been very available to answer our questions and she advised us about places to visit, beaches, restaurants to go to, this was appreciable. If we have the opportunity to return to Crete, we will certainly go back to Maria's house, comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. It was a real pleasure to stay there. Notre vol a eu du retard et le père de Maria a été très compréhensif ! La villa est parfaitement conforme aux photos et Maria a été très disponibles pour répondre à nos questions ! La villa se trouve à quelques minutes de Platania ou il y a un Lidl pour faire les course, des restaurants et une plage. La piscine était au top et Maria et son père sont venus la nettoyer dans la semaine. Nous étions 7 et tout c'est très bien passé !
Nous avons passé 2 superbes semaines en Crête dans la maison de Maria. La maison est très agréable, spacieuse, très propre et située dans un village typique calme, à 4 km de Platanias. Maria est une personne très accueillante et son père très sympathique et discret lors du nettoyage de la piscine. L'endroit est le point de départ idéal pour visiter l'ouest de la crête. Dans le village de Vrisses, nous sommes également allés nous promener dans les chemins à travers les champs d'oliviers, magnifiques points de vues en perspective.
Maria und ihre Familie sind wunderbare, herzliche Gastgeber. Das Haus ist genauso wie auf den Fotos; ruhig gelegen, mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und ein hervorragender Ausgangspunkt zur Erkundung des westlichen Kreta. We'll be back!
Excellent sejour dans cette maison idéalement située pour visiter l'ouest de l'ile : les plages de ballos (pour nous la plus belle), Phalassarma, Elafonisi, les gorges de Samaria,... Pas mal de randonnees très sympa dans le coin (nous avions le guide Rother très complet). Les amateurs de vacances plus festives ne seront pas en reste avec la station balnaire de Platanias a 5 min en voiture et l'ancienne capitale Xania (=Hania=Shania=La Canee) a 15 min. Le centre ancien de Xania est d'ailleurs magnifique. Concernant la maison elle etait tout a fait conforme aux photos : tres propre, spacieuse avec ses trois chambres climatisees, trois salles de bain, et tres bien equipee (cuisine, barbecue a gaz...) Enfin la belle terrasse avec piscine (entretenue quotidiennement par le papa de Maria) etait tres appreciable pour prendre les repas et l'aperitif. Maria a eut la gentillesse de venir nous chercher a la sortie de la grande route pour nous guider. Elle nous a réservé un accueil chaleureux, etait très réactive pour repondre a nos quelques questions ( par texto) et s'est toujours souciée de savoir si nous manquions de rien. Bref, une belle region a decouvrir, une jolie maison bien equipee et une hote tres sympathique !
