Our house is a big family home with 4 bedrooms (2 of them are perfect for kids), 2 bathrooms (one with bathtub and one with shower) and a large living room. Our fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave oven, dish washer, toaster and coffeemaker, is ideal to provide you with breakfast or lunch. Additionally, you may enjoy the breathtaking sunset from the balconies at the back of the house or the sea breeze in the afternoon at the large balcony at the front. The house is located in an area called "Chrisi Akti" (Golden beach), 4 kms away from the centre of Chania. It is only 3 mins walk from the beach "Chrisi Akti" and 10 mins away on foot from Agioi Apostoloi beach. Both of them are awarded with the blue flag as the most clean beaches. About 10 mins walk away there is a beautiful park, where you can go jogging, and a playground for the kids! Nearby you will find 2 supermarkets, a pharmacy, various shops as well as restaurants, a bowling center and a tennis club!! The bus station to the picturesque old harbour and the city center is only 5 min walk away.(bus every 15 mins) . Plus, the station for the suburban bus is only 800m. (Buses to west side beaches - Falassarna, Balos, etc.- )

Getting around
For those coming from Heraklio:
-while driving on the national road, you go out on the third exit after you get to Chania- the first exit is Souda, next Mournies and the third Vamvakopoulo, however you must watch not to miss it because there is not a big sign indicating that there is an exit, like the previous ones. -in about 100-150m, you will meet a road. You turn right there. -drive on this street for about 1,5km until you meet the traffic lights. You turn left here. -You will see a gas station on your right hand. If you think you will have difficulties in finding the house, that’s a very good meeting point! -drive on this street for the next 1,5km. You will meet traffic lights again here. At this point, turn right. -stay on this road for the next 850-900m. You will drive across the beach until you meet a left turn going up to the hill. Turn left here. -The apartment is on this street. Drive up the hill, where you will start seeing houses. There is a right turn. After that it’s the 3rd house on your right, just before an unfinished one.
For those coming from Chania airport:
-follow the signs to the town center. The route is standard and gets you to the Old Market place. It’s a big building with a clock on its top and you will meet it on your right hand. It’s easy to find, because the signs drive you there, so the directions will start from here on. -drive on this road for the next 1,7km. It’s the central road of Chania and it will lead you on its own. At this point, the street divides into two others, one leading left and one straight ahead. You keep going straight. You will meet a gas station on your right hand. If you have doubts about finding the house, that’s a very good meeting point! -drive on this street for the next 1,5km. You will meet traffic lights again here. At this point, turn right. -stay on this road for the next 850-900m. You will drive across the beach until you meet a left turn going up to the hill. Turn left here. -The apartment is on this street. Drive up the hill, where you will start seeing houses. There is a right turn. After that it’s the 3rd house on your right, just before an unfinished one.

Ruby and Stella's 4 bedroom house is so very special it is hard to do it justice in a review as it is certainly the best quality example of a Air bnb let that my wife and I have ever seen, and we can certainly say that the listing photos are very accurate. The house is huge - the bedrooms and living areas have private balconies and there are two dining tables inside and one outside. The fittings are all luxurious and the house is tastefully decorated and very comfortable, with three air conditioning units. The kitchen has every modern convenience and to have a laundry is a big plus, for families. Wi fi was free, and good. The house is located in a perfect spot, up on a hill with a sea view. There was good air flow. It was a few minutes walk to at least three separate beaches - Chrissi Akti the closest. The same few minutes to a regular bus stop that gave access to Chania town, only about 12 minutes by bus (cost 1 Euro 20 cents). The beaches had adequate snack bars, and two large supermarkets were also in the vicinity, along with a good choice of restaurants. Stella welcomed us with great hospitality, providing an unexpected bounty of fresh local food and drink including wine in our fridge, and fresh baking to boot.
Everything worked perfectly, from the handing over of the keys when we first arrived at Ruby&Stella's to our last evening on the large terrace. The place was very clean and fitted with all the household items you could need. The spacious kitchen allowed for some great cooking. There are no noisy streets nearby, so sleeping was very comfortable. The beach is a 5 minute walk away. The city Chania can be reached by bus (15 min) or by taxi (8 euros). We have chosen this apartment based on the comments and we are not disappointed. Apartments are spacious and very clean. The kitchen has all equipment which you can need even a dishwasher. The nearest beach - "Goldman Beach" is just in 3min by walk from apartment and by the way it is the best beach in this area. Flat owners are very hospitable and are always in touch if you need their help. I recommend this apartment to everyone who is looking for place in this area!
Lovely quiet, spacious appartment and a wonderful welcome. We stayed for 2 weeks with our daughter, son in law and 2 year old grandson. Stella couldn't have been more welcoming. She was there to meet us, had brought Thomas, aged 2, a small toy and had also provided some provisions so that we didn't have to go out immediately to stock up. The appartment is very well equipped, exceeds expectations and there are beautiful views of the sea and mountains from the bedrooms.
Ruby and Stellas place is fabulous and we highly recommend it to everyone. Met Stella at the beginning n at the end of our stay and she is a lovely lady. Apart from the goodies to welcome our arrival and departure, our daughters also got a couple of barbies upon our arrival. The house is spacious and equipped with all the essentials for a family vacation and our kids enjoyed their bath after a long hard day on the beach
Had an amazing time at this villa. It is exactly (better) as described and in a great location. Ruby, Stella and Panos were perfect hosts with excellent communication before and during our stay to ensure we were happy with everything. They left us a beautiful care package when we arrived. They also had a guide printed for us highlighting their favorite restaurants and beaches. Neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful with great views of the fields and sea from each of the five decks. Stella visited us at the end of out stay and brought us a lovely box of pastries. I would give this villa a perfect score and highly recommend it!!!!!!
We were at Ruby and Stella's house on June for 2 weeks whit our daughter and her friend. The house is very spacious, elegante and clean, the rooms are very beautiful and the beds really confortable. Each room has a nice balcony and my husband and I enjoied the romantic sunsets the evenings. When we arrived Ruby's brother wellcome us whit fruits , almonds and wine, he was very frendly whit us. The beaches are real only 5 minuts away by feet and they are very nice, especially St. Apostoly beach there were a lot of fishes , so we spent a lot of time snorkelling. Each and every one of our dreams was realized here! The bus for Chania was frequent, sa said. The arkeologycal place in Knossos was 2 Hours away by car, The wonderful beache Elafonissi was 1,5 Hours away by car. The house was perfetct for each of our needs. We met Stella 2 times and she brought us taste full products of Crete, she was very frendly and available for everythings. We really home to return next year .
The home was perfect for our vacation! It comfortable fit four people and was the nicest property we stayed at in Greece. Location is perfect -- walking distance from the beach and a short drive to Chania. Highly recommended!
We had wonderful time in Ruby's apartment. It was fully equipped and the air conditioning kept the house nice and cool. We were party of four adults and a child and the apartment was perfect for us. The nearby beaches were shallow enough for children but also perfect for snorkeling. Ruby's mother Stella was there to welcome us and had some traditional pastries and fruits waiting for us. Ruby was also very helpful throughout our journey, she gave us some good recommendations where to go and what to see. The neighborhood was quiet and nearby tavernas and shops were few minutes away. The bus to Chania was also very convenient and took about 10 minutes. We can fully recommend Ruby's place for everyone.
This was our second time to stay in this great house. We made some GREAT memories this summer - my daughter who is approaching four really made the best of her time at the beaches here - clear, warm water - lots and lots of sun and sandcastles. We would wake up in the morning and she would put her sandals and hat on ready for the beach before eating breakfast. The house location is great - plenty of clean beaches within a short walking distance. Quick bus ride into Old Town Chania for dinners, drinks and people watching - not much more to say - its a wonderful place for a beach holiday in Crete. Ruby's family runs the house like a 5 Star Hotel - everything is very clean, and they were always ready to respond to any demands we might have had - though we had none since everything was already perfect. Ruby's mother brought some toys for our daughter - which were very appreciated. We will miss their warmth - and the beaches of Crete for the next 12 months while under the grey skies of Paris - can't wait to come back.
We had a fantastic stay in Ruby's apartment. The location was perfect for the beach with small children. We had everything we needed in the apartment and Ruby even left gifts for my two daughters. When we arrived we enjoyed cool drinks and snacks which was just what we needed after a hot drive from the airport. Ruby and her family did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. We wish we had stayed longer!
A super beautiful and charming appartament, that offered everything we needed for our comfort. The location of the house is close in the old city of Chania and very close to the beach. Our superhost, Stella welcomed us with fruit and wine. We totally recommend the house and its host. It was a pleasure to stay in.
We booked this apartment at the last minute and are very happy we did. Ruby and her mom Stella were very welcoming (even brought presents for the kids!) and very helpful throughout. The flat is very big and in fact feels like a house once inside. Very large living/dining area, 4 bedrooms including 2 children's rooms and balconies all around. It is situated on a hill 5 minutes walk from the beach and bus stop to Chania and 10 minutes walk from 2 large supermarkets. Would stay there again without hesitation.
