Agriturismo Papyrus features an outdoor pool and a private museum

The main body of the Papyrus farmhouse, 19th Century farmhouse surrounded by stables, has been transformed into pleasant environments for an interesting stay between nature and glimpses of the past. The structure has an extension of about 10 hectares, with organic crops of Mediterranean fruits and fruit trees and essences all Mediterranean.

The farmhouse, surrounded by the river Ciane with its pristine source in the Metamorphoses of Ovid, opens its sight on the luxuriant shores of high papyrus of Egypt, which in this unique place in the world continues to grow spontaneously. Among the papyrus, during long walks on dusk, you can observe herons, water gallins and listen to the sounds of the river. The area also denotes archaeological interest as there are paleolithic remains of peasant villages such as tombs, wells and caves. We are about 8 km from Siracusa with its historic center on the island of Ortigia and the archaeological area of ​​the Greek Theater, second only to that of Athens, the Roman Amphitheater and the Ear of Dionysus.

Rooms

There are three types of rooms in the structure:
Garden view: double or twin rooms with the possibility of a sofa bed. Wonderful garden and pool views, private entrance and patio for breakfast or afternoon's shade in the shade of a vineyard.

Farmer's Courtyard: Double or Twin Rooms with the possibility of a sofa bed in those that were previously stables. Entrance independent from the Farmer's Courtyard, characteristic, reserved, especially for the presence of panels that display small and large original tools of the day-to-day rural life of the eighteenth century.

Mastermind: Double or double single rooms with "French" bed, with common entrance both from the farmer's courtyard and from the main courtyard. All the furniture is original from the era, with pieces sought after with patience, skill and passion in the markets and restored. In these environments you can savor the atmosphere of more than a century ago.

The property has 7 minisuite possibility of a sofa bed in those that were previously stables,  8 executive, two single rooms with french bed. All the rooms have private bathroom.
