A spacious old fashioned villa in the forest on the edge of Borovets about 10-15 easy walk to the centre. Zhenya an excellent off-site host who was quick to answer queries and organise taxis etc. In winter recommend hiring ski gear from the very friendly folk at Boro Sport in the main gondola building where skis/boots can be left each night. Superb Bulgarian cuisine at the Silver Fox and Hunters and excellent spa facilities at the Rila Hotel
Thanks zhenya for providing a great place for a group of 13 guys for a weekend skiing and get together. The place is quite secluded so we didn’t have to worry about disturbing any neighbours but only a 5-10 monte walk to the Main Street where all the bars, restaurants etc are and lifts. Would recommend paying for ski storage at hire shop as walk is uphill which might be a slight issue with skis, boots etc but otherwise great location. Very helpful staff at villa and nice sauna which is reasonable at 10 levs per hour. Thanks again!
Great location. Huge villa. Great value
Booked for a big group of lads for skiing, literally perfect walk to slopes and nightlife. Place is massive. Each room has lockable doors so it can really work well for lots of individual groups staying there. There was always someone there, we checked in at like 3am and was no problem at all.
The villa is approx 400m from the main slope where all the lessons meet, even with kids it was a maximum 10 minutes walk. We hired our equipment from Hotel Rila and paid a little extra to store it there, which made things a lot easier. The villa was cleaned daily and there was always someone on site, although they were out the way in their office, this made it feel very secure. The rooms where all of a very good size, much larger than a hotel. The lounge and dining room provided ample space for our group of 15. Would definitely rebook if traveling in a large family group. Zheni, the host was very helpful in the lead up to the trip, responding quickly and even sorting out our airport transfers. Thanks Zheni, we all had a great time.
