The Space

Located in the very heart of Amalfi this delightful seaview apartment is a stone’s throw away, only 80 steps from the famous Piazza Duomo, where the splendid St Andrew’s Cathedral takes centre stage. In a few minutes you can also reach the SITA bus terminal, taxi rank, pier, shops and beach.

Situated in a unique historical building you will enjoy a comfortable and well equipped holiday home. Last but not least, you will enjoy also a stunning view on the façade of the cathedral, the typical white stone houses built on the east cliffside which have been depicted many many times by photographers, painters and various artists.

The owners have gone to great length to give this apartment a unique feel. The bespoke furnitures, along with hand-painted tiles complement wonderfully this rare-to-find accommodation.

From the main square it takes under 5 minutes to reach the house and you will be received into a spacious kitchen large enough for 4 people to eat in.
Here you find gas stove with electric oven fridge/freezer and all other kitchen essentials.

The kitchen leads then onto the corridor where on one end you have a separate laundry area with washing machine and storage cupboard. The laundry leads then to the bathroom, decorated with all hand-painted tiles and marble tops, offers shower and 3 piece ceramic suite.

The double bedroom has been made to measure and it is deceptively spacious. Infact your suitcases can be stored away and there is plenty of wardrobe space.
The bright and spacious living room is airy and cosy at the same time with the added bonus of the small balcony which offers a lovely view over the town and the sea.
There is a TV and a larger dining table, perfect for a candle-lit dinner or a family meal.

In addition there is a double sofabed which makes this holiday rental perfect for families, friends or couples travelling together.

For young families this is ideal as the double bedroom and living room are separate, but there is an internal window which can be left open and give parents the possibilty to supervise the child/children. Likewise if friends are travelling together, you will have complete privacy just by keeping the window closed.
In the summer you can sleep with the balcony doors open it is very pleasant and relaxing; just by closing the external adjustable slatted doors you keep your privacy and yet breathe the rinvigorating sea air.

If you wish we can organise transfer services, excursions and sightseeing along the Amalfi Coast and also to Capri Island.

Upon your arrival we will provide a city map, general info and a refreshing typical beverage made with our own home-grown lemons.

Guest Access: Private balcony no sharing with owner or other individuals.

Interaction with Guests: We will be happy to assist you throughout your stay, with all your requests, providing info about excursion to Pompei etc.., boat charter, rent a scooter or smart car.

The Neighborhood: Friendly neighbourhood with families living here all year-round. We all know each other.

Getting around: Amalfi is served by public bus service and in the summer months regular boat service to and from Salerno, Positano Capri etc.
However we can arrange private car transfer to and from both Naples airport/railway station.
The closest train station is in Salerno and you can count on our services if you need a transfer from/to here also.
The public bus service operated by SITA runs regularly and connects all the towns along the coast from Salerno to Positano.
In addition is it possible to reach also Sorrento by bus.
Another way to explore the Coast is to rent a car, bearing in mind that parking can be tricky but if you need it we can help you arrange a parking space; this is not included in the rental cost.

Other Things to Note: For a 6 days stay one change of bed linen and bath towels is included
Any extra change of linen is not included and will be charged extra.
House cleaning service during your stay is on request and will be charged pro-rata (cost TBA on the spot).

Payment Policy
House rules Please make the selective collection of waste. Keep doors and windows closed when the air conditioning is turned on and turn it off when you leave the house. No smoking. No pets allowed. The rates include VAT The tourist tax applies from April 1 to November 2, and the amount is € 1.50 per person per day for the first four days, the fifth day reduced to 50%. The payment of the tax is in cash
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation or modification in the booking is valid only when received by writing. If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled up to 21 days before date of arrival, the first night will be charged. If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, two nights will be charged. If cancelled from 6 or less days before the arrival, in case of no-show or for earlier departure the total price of the stay will be charged.

Amalfi is a great place to stay while exploring the Amalfi coast. In may respects I liked it better than Positano - where we also spent several days - because the streets are a bit easier to navigate and it doesn't have nearly as many hills. And Casa Colonne was the perfect place for us to stay while there. The accommodations are in excellent and there is a small fruit shop less than 20 feet from the front door that had some of the best fruit we had during our month-long trip. There is also a small square another few feet away with several restaurants, a cheese shop and grocery. Everything was very convenient and easily accessible. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Amalfi again.

Casa Colonne is a fantastic property and Michele is an excellent host. He met us at the pier on arrival and arranged porters to take our cases up to the apartment. The apartment was spotless, had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and the local fruit Michele left was delicious! The apartment is perfectly located, close to the pier, bus stop, shops and restaurants. We could not have been more happy with our experience in Amalfi and Casa Colonne.

Beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. Michele met us at the port and also arranged for someone to carry our bag. Michele was very helpful showing us around the apartment and also provided us with a bowl of fresh fruit which was lovely. We would highly recommend anyone to stay in this apartment.

The apartment is tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and is very spacious. The host Michele met us and helped us with our bags up the steps (there are some but not too many - this is Amalfi after all). He provided a welcome fruit bowl (delicious!) and could give advice on the best places to see. The little balcony has a great view of the town square and the sea. The town square is a 2-3min walk away and the port the same.
