The space
The Villa is located in the countryside that surrounds the Vesuvius, an oasis of peace and tranquility where you can relax after having visited one of the most sensational archeological sites in the world. The rooms are all equipped with double beds, private bathrooms and terraces making each one of the room a high standard ensuite. The Villa also presents a large garden with a 20mX10m swimming pool and a indoor play room for the younger travellers. The swimming pool is thought for children and adults with depth ranging from 1.2m to 3 m, enabling good swimming and a safe space for the children. The Garden also continues behind the Villa where a wood oven and a barbecue will grant you the possibility of preparing the best Italian meals. Pompeii Garden House also disposes of a large parking space with up to 7 cars being able to park.
Guest access
Pompei Garden House will be entirely available for it's guests. A pair of keys and a remote control for the gate will be furnished.
Interaction with guests
The person responsible of the villa lives in the same road 50 meters away from the property and he is available at anytime. Reception and information of the guests will be ensured. It will also be possible to organize transport to and from all the major center of interests in Campania and the main arrival points like the Naples Airport or the train stations of Napoli and Salerno.
The neighborhood
Guglielmo’s home is located in Scafati, Campania, Italy. The centrality of the Villa in Campania makes it unique . Everyday you can decide where to go knowing that it will never be too far from your holiday Villa. The property is, 10 minutes away by car, from Pompeii, 10 minutes from the archeological site of Oplonti, 20 minutes from the ruins of Herculaneum, 5 minutes from the Vesuvius National Park and 25 minutes from the Amalfitan and Sorrento coast. Large cities like Naples and Salerno are both just half an hour away by car or by train. You can easily discover the cities with the pleasure of coming back to sleep or relax in the countryside. At the end, you can visit two of the most beautiful islands in Italy, Ischia and Capri. From the Port of Castellamare (15 minutes away by car) or Port of Naples (30 minutes away by car), you can take numerous ferries and hydrofoils to reach in less than 1 hour the islands of Capri and Ischia.
Getting around
The Villa is a 10 minute walk from the metropolitan railway station (Circumevesuviana) that can take you to the most beautiful tourist spots in the Vesuvian area and in Naples . The National Rail station of Scafati is less than 10 minutes by car and the station of Pompeii is less than 15 minutes by car. The region's two main highways converge at 1km from the Villa, thanks to a new road junction that allows quick access to the rest of Campania's territory.

The villa is spacious and the outside area is fantastic with a wonderful large pool. Guglielmo was a great host and his local friends were always available to help out with any small problems. Only a few miles from Pompeii and Vesuvius and a 10 minute walk to the local train station. Not many shops and restaurants very close but enough within a 5-10 minute walk. Overall we had a wonderful stay
We had a great week in this villa. As a family of 9 we had plenty of space, all the bedrooms are comfortable, the place is well equipped, and the pool is easily the best we have ever used! The location is good if you want somewhere peaceful but with good connections to places all over the bay of Naples. We enjoyed walking into nearby San Pietro for food shopping, nice cafes, and good takeaway food including excellent arrancini as well as pizza. We used Marco's home restaurant one evening and it was excellent. Guglielmo was an excellent host. He was responsive when we needed advice on some minor issues, and communicated really well before and during our stay. So we would highly recommend this place as a base for a larger group or family to relax and to explore this amazing part of Italy.
We were 14 collegues and really had a great time. The house is perfect : big swimming pool, barbecue, big garden, wonderful view to the vesuve.. Guglielmo and his daughter were very kind and helpfull. Thanks for everything !
If you are thinking of staying here, please do! The house is much more beautiful than the pictures show and was a peaceful, relaxing getaway from the busy city. Wonderful host and easily managed trip!
The house was very beautiful. All the pictures were just as nice as the house itself. However, there were a lot of ants in the house and in the outhouse. The wifi wasn't as good as expected but it was able to hold all 15 people we had. The housemaid was very welcoming and helpful and Guglielmo helped us find a taxi to get us to our airport early in the morning on our departure. The pool was perfect and refreshing. The only thing we had complaints about was that when we got to the house we were very hungry and at 2:00-5:30 the stores and restaurants were not open. We wished that we were told this ahead of time because then we would have made arrangements. Overall the house was nice for our stay

Guglielmo was such a great host, I can only recommend this house. Very clean, beautiful view and very nice people. Guglielmo recommended us a Michelin restaurant which was a real treat. He even made a reservation for us although normally you have to reserve 3 days ahead. 5star + experience! Thanks again

The villa was our "base-camp" while staying and exploring the surrounding areas. Scafati is not exciting; however, after spending time in Naples for a day, we were thrilled to return the Pompeii Garden House:). The trip was intended as a present for my parents, in which, they had an amazing time! The pool, spacious house, and service from the host and staff, made the experience wonderful. The property is large and comfortable, with a washer and full kitchen. We brought my puppy, who loved the enormity of the quarters, especially, the yard. Guglielmo was an amazing and thoughtful host. My parents and I appreciated his warmth and efforts to make our stay beyond pleasant. In fact, he proactively arranged my parents with a guided tour of the Pompeii ruins, allowing me to sleep-in. :) His staff is sincere and accommodate guests with warmth and pleasure. For the hospitality alone, I highly recommend staying here.
The house is beautiful, definitely the nicest house in Scafarti. The pool is enormous, and was rated as the best pool we have ever had by the kids. In our opinion a car is essential to get to all the fabulous places in the area. Don't forget an old style Italian plug adaptor as all the plugs are that type.
Gullies I was very helpful as was Monica his housekeeper. I had to telephone on the way there as we had lost the address! He provided lots of information about the house and the area. The house is amazing and we spent lots of time relaxing by the pool - which really is as lovely as it looks in the pictures. The house is well located to visit Pompeii, Naples, Herculaneum, Sorrento, Capri etc - there is not much in Scafarti - it is a big town with shops etc - but not much for tourists - but the villa itself makes up for that. We had a wonderful time.
A lovely villa with tons of space and a good level of equipment. The villa was a little difficult to find and off the beaten track but an oasis of calm and tranquility in the middle of a jam packed holiday for us. Monica, the housekeeper, was lovely and very helpful even though she didn't have much English and we don't speak much Italian.
Scafati is not a very attractive town and it's hard to believe you can find such an oasis in this neighborhood Pompei Garden House is just a few km away from the Pompei site so it's a perfect place to stay when you want to visit Pompei or Naples. The villa is beautiful and the pool is larger than any pool we've seen (even in hotels) during our entire stay. The owner is a wonderful guy.
Everything with our staying at Pompei Garden House was truly an enjoyment! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and taken cared of by Guglielmo and his lovely wife. They gave us tips, advices and helped us with practical things like booking taxis. Also, the house is amazing with comfortable rooms, many bathrooms and relaxing pool area. We were ten people; two families celebrating a wedding, and all of us agree we had a wonderful time here. I can really recommend anyone to stay at Pompei Garden House!
This is an excellent base for exploring Amalfi, Pompeii, and Naples. We also very much enjoyed Scafati. It's a much bigger town than I anticipated. The house is large and comfortable. It is also well appointed. The pool is fantastic. The water temperature and views were amazing. The house is on the outer edge of an urban center but the place itself is secluded. This gives the best of both worlds with total privacy on a large property but easy access to the city and restaurants. We loved being in a real Italian city rather than one over run with tourists. We had a group of 12 and we all slept comfortably and had plenty of room. As beautiful as everything was in the surrounding areas we couldn't wait to get back to the pool and Scafati.
It was like a dream! We had 5 blissful days, exploring the area, floating in the pool and having dinner in the garden. We liked being a little off the beaten track with an easy 20min drive to Pompeii and an hour to the wonderful Sorrento coast. The hosts were wonderful and went out of their way to look after the house and provide recommendations. Monica even drove us to a local restaurant so we wouldn't get lost. The house is fabulous, spacious and well resourced.

Wij hebben geweldige dagen gehad in het prachtige huis van Guglielmo! We waren met zes mensen. Twee echtparen en twee jonge volwassenen. Het zwembad was fantastisch. We hebben iedere ochtend heerlijk gezwommen. Het contact met Guglielmo was bijzonder prettig. We kregen meteen bericht als we vragen hadden. De mensen die het huis beheren waren ook fantastisch en ontzettend behulpzaam. Scafati ligt erg gunstig wanneer je naar Napels, Pompeii, Castellamare di Stabia of langs de Amalfikust wilt reizen. De privé parkeerplaatsen waren ook bijzonder comfortabel. We hopen nog een keer weer te gaan. Een 10 wat ons betreft!
Buona accoglienza... il custode una persona molto gentile e disponibile. Casa favolosa e con tutto cio che serve per star bene e a proprio agio. Unica pecca L'acqua fredda... quasi impossibile riuscire a fare una doccia completa.
