Who we are

Guest House Residenza Aude’, has been a former farmhouse since 1904 and, after a long and careful work of preservation and complete renovation was reopened in 2009 with three independent apartments.It is located in IT 14058, Monastero Bormida, Bormida Valley, on a 400 mts high hill called Santa Libera, surrounded by vineyards, chestnuts, hazelnuts, and fields of maize and wheat,whereas fawns, wildboars, foxes, hares, pheasants, cukoos, badgers are free and protected.Scenic views down towards the Bormida valley, along with complete rural peacefulness makes Residenza Aude’ a favourite spot for the nature and peace lover.

Where we are

The Guest House Residenza Aude’ is located in Piedmont, on the rolling hills between the Langhe and Monferrato.  

From Guest House Residenza Aude’ you can easily reach:

Acqui Terme, natural hot thermal springs  and remains of Roman water reservoir.
Canelli, the city of wine, grape harvesting and wine cathedral cellars.
Alba, truffles and wines.
Turin with its monuments, squares and the Egyptian Museum
Genoa with it's famous aquarium
is about 100 Km from Turin, 150 from Milan and 90 from Genoa.

Attractions

In ancient converted barn can be arranged on request exhibitions of local products: cheeses, wines and other gastronomic specialties of the area.Monastero Bormida has a very ancient history, it was founded by the monks of Cluny in 1050 .

The city that gave birth to Augusto Monti (1881-1946), writer, teacher and militant anti-fascist Italian .

For art lovers can visit the castle , built in the fifteenth century on the ancient Benedictine monastery of Santa Giulia, the old stone bridge with three arches built on the river Bormida and the seventeenth-century parish church of Santa Giulia.

For the days of leisure activities you can spend an enjoyable day at the Country Club of Monastero Bormida conventional structure with the Audè residence with swimming pool, tennis courts and soccer field.

Another interesting possibility is to spend a day on horseback, surrounded by nature in the area. The residence is Audè agreement with an equestrian located nearby.

Do not miss every second Sunday of March is the Polentonissimo , the great festival of the country in which it is prepared a giant polenta.

On the day of the preparation of porridge a historical procession parades through the ancient streets of the village , which evoke ancient crafts and everyday scenes of yesteryear.

It ' also operates a convention with a great neighborhood restaurant that offers typical Piedmontese tradition , both for lunch and for dinner.
