Ben Luna is a modern Highland Lodge with many traditional elements from a period long before, that creates an atmosphere of historical romance in a true Highlands of Scotland setting high in the hills above Loch Ness. 

What we were looking for when we designed BEN LUNA LODGE

The design and decor comes from our love for light and space - to create a total element of calm, tranquility, an inner peace if you like, but to be conducive to adapting to memorable, social interactive experiences like intimate evenings of the finest of Highland dining, great conversation and good music all happening around the magnificent bespoke 5m long Douglas Fir dining table with family and friends

We do love our dining area, however the bedrooms are fabulous!

SPACE LUXURY COMFORT

Each of our bedrooms, have their own en-suite bathroom, dressing room and access out to balconies overlooking the splendid Highland scenery – so you’ll find that ‘relaxing’ comes quite naturally!

Our palette of textured grey, taupe and white, and use of natural materials – wood, stone, metal and linen, are used throughout Ben Luna to create an infinite sense of tranquility which blends with both the internal and external surroundings.

Bedroom Specification

The ground floor is a seamless run of beautiful oak flooring with underfloor heating. The first floor has sumptuous wool carpet.

All bedrooms have luxurious Egyptian Cotton bed linen, gorgeous towels and dressing gowns. Hairdryers and wi-fi included.

The rooms are named after some of the trees you see from your windows and balconies.

The Silver Birch Suite

This suite is on the ground floor. A very spacious room with a Jacuzzi bath and walk-in shower/wet room - highly suitable for wheelchair access and disabilities. It has a European King Size bed, a sofa and a walk-in dressing room with double French-door give access into the garden.

First Floor : ‍The Scots Pine Suite

This suite has a luxurious velvet double bed with memory foam mattress, a sofa and a walk-in dressing room. and the en-suite has a large shower with power head.

Double French-Doors open out onto your own personal covered balcony with seating to enjoy the stunning view.

The Wild Cherry Suite

This suite has a European King Size bed and a door out onto the balcony, a built-in wardrobe and en-suite with a large shower.

The Rowan

This room has a double bed and 2 x single beds. It has a large walk-in dressing room and the en-suite has a large shower. It has access out onto a balcony and down into grounds and is ideal room for the children.

The Holly

This is a large room with 2 x single beds that can be zipped to make a Super King if preferred. There is also room here for additional beds if required.

It has built in wardrobe space and the en-suite has a large shower.

This room has its own access from outside giving complete privacy or can be entered through the adjacent bedroom.

THE PERFECT ESCAPE - THE LODGE

Ben Luna Lodge is situated in four acres of tree lined grounds with rocky out crops that give a sense of Highland grandeur and magnificent panoramic views North South East and West.

Within the grounds to the south-west of the Lodge rests an unusually large rock and if it could talk, would tell us all about our Pictish Forefathers who lived on this site 1,400 years ago.

SURROUNDING PLACES

Ben Luna is centrally placed – a perfect base with the Isle of Skye, John o’Groats, the East Coast Whisky Trails and the Cairgorm National Park all achievable as day trips.

3 miles away, on the banks of Loch Ness sits our village of Drumnadrochit which meanders round to Urquhart Castle. The quaint village of Beauly is a lovely 15 minute drive over the heather moors.

We are 18 miles from Inverness and 25 miles from Inverness Airport where we can offer Range Rover collection. Glen Affric is a relaxed hour’s drive and definitely worth seeing – voted as one of the top 5 most beautiful film locations in Scotland they include Last of the Mohicans; Victoria and Abdul.

FINDING US

Driving North

From Glasgow & Edinburgh, you have about a 3 ½ hour drive up the A9 where we recommend a stop at House of Bruar for some fine fayre and indulgent shopping.

Alternatively – you can travel up the absolutely stunning West Coast’s A82 - although about the same mileage, this way will take you longer (4 hrs.approx.) as it winds you through some of the finest of Scotland’s iconic scenery – time well spent if you have it.

Helicopter

‍For discretion, time efficiency or just sheer indulgence you can arrive to the grounds of the Lodge by helicopter.

Payment Policy
Your booking (“Booking”) may be placed over the telephone, by email or directly on our online reservation system. Where your Booking is communicated to us by telephone or by email, we will enter it onto our online reservation system, which will automatically generate a summary by email to the email address you provide in the online Booking form. However, that does not mean that your Booking is yet confirmed or that a Contract is yet in force between us and you. Your Booking will only be confirmed and our Contract will only come into force once we have received payment in cleared funds of a deposit of THIRTY-FIVE PER CENT (35%) of the full cost of your Booking (the “Deposit”). The Deposit must be paid within three (3) days of the Booking being placed. The balance of the rental will be due for payment ten (10) weeks prior to your holiday commencement date (the “Holiday Commencement Date”). Loss and Damage Deposit Ben Luna Lodge is furnished and decorated with a multitude of carefully selected items some of which cost a significant amount to replace should that be required. Ben Luna Lodge maintains a detailed inventory of all the contents of the Lodge, both practical items and decorative items. You will be required to pay for any item that incurs damage or is removed or lost. Therefore, a mandatory ‘Refundable Good Housekeeping Deposit’ of £500 is payable against all bookings. If applicable, any damage internally or externally, items required to be replaced, repaired or additional cleaning costs will be deducted from your ‘loss and damage deposit’ and the remainder refunded to you within 10 days of the end of your stay. If any loss or damage costs exceed the deposit payment, Ben Luna Lodge reserves the right to automatically charge you for any excess. We recommend that you have appropriate insurance in place to cover this. ? IF YOU LOSE A KEY WE WILL REPLACE IT UPON YOU PAYING FOR THE CUTTING OF A NEW ONE. ? If for any reason we are unable to take payment of the balance by the due date and you are unable to promptly rearrange payment (or we cannot get hold of you to arrange for payment to be made) we will be entitled to treat that as your intention to cancel the Booking. If your Booking is made less than ten (10) weeks prior to the Holiday Commencement Date then your Booking will only be confirmed and our Contract will only come into force once we have received payment in full for the Booking in cleared funds. No entry to our properties will be allowed without payment, in full, being cleared beforehand. We accept payment via our online reservation system or Banks Transfer.The ‘Loss and Damage ‘ deposit will automatically be held 3 days before your arrival date ONLY if you have ticked the ‘pre-auth’ at time of booking if done on the on-line booking system. If this has not been ticked, we will need to manually contact you to arrange deposit 3 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be notified to and received by us in writing (preferably by email) and once received we will confirm and process your cancellation request. We offer Flexible Cancellation which removes the stress and worry from booking your holiday. You can cancel your Booking and obtain a full refund of the lodging costs you have paid for up to seven (7) days before the Holiday Commencement Date. For example if your Holiday Commencement Date is a Saturday, then you can cancel as late as the prior Saturday. However, we ask that you give us as much notice as possible about your cancellation. If you cancel later than seven (7) days before the Holiday Commencement Date then we cannot refund your Booking and we will have incurred costs and are unlikely to be able to re-let our accommodation in such a short period of time. For this reason, we strongly recommend you take out your own travel insurance for UK holidays which covers booking cancellations. This will give you the peace of mind that you will get your money back if you need to cancel your holiday at almost the last minute. If you choose not to, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
