The Villa is a perfect holiday getaway to relax and unwind under unpolluted blue skies with all year around sunshine. Is very SECLUDED and off the beaten track, a very PRIVATE and peaceful country location, all around views of natural shrubland plus mountain and a sea view.

A secure rural area with local village markets, festivals, and affordable restaurants from 3 Km away. The offshore islands beckon with endless, uncrowded, and sun-drenched beaches, easily accessed by either water taxis or small ferries docking below in Olhao or Fuseta only 8-minute drive away.

This exceptional villa was built new in traditional Algarve style. It is open plan, with all rooms having their own patio door access to the pool all on one level, affords an idyllic indoor/outdoor lifestyle to unwind and soak up the sun.

The easy access to the A22 motorway allows all Algarve’s appealing entertainments, sport activities and even Spain to be very accessible, all within a 30minute drive.

INSIDE

The villa offers a spacious open plan lounge/dining area with scatter rugs on local terracotta floors, all rooms leading onto a south facing veranda plus pool and sundecks all on one level.

Free unlimited internet / Smart TV / Netflix / Multi language channels / Satellite BBC free view TV / Music CD player plus a Bluetooth JBL speaker.

Air conditioners / Ceiling fans / Mosquito screens all around / Log fireplace plus portable Electric heaters / Selection of books and games / Wine bar available on an honesty basis.

A free local calls Mobile phone to remain in contact with management, also handy take along phone for standby advice to make sure our guests have a carefree holiday.

The 2 bedrooms accommodate 4 adults, plus a teenager on a fold out bed and additional child in a cot, and highchair is provided. Both bedrooms are ensuite and are very private, situated at opposite ends of the living area, each with own direct patio door access to the pool. The main bedroom has a king size bed, and the guest bedroom has twin beds, all mattresses are overlayed with quality memory foam toppers and ironed cotton bed linen.

The 2 bathrooms are both ensuite and are fully equipped with crisp cotton towels, hairdryer, shower caps, plus all usual expendables, and unlimited hot water from a gas boiler. The main ensuite has a washbasin, shower, and toilet, while the second has a washbasin, bath/shower, toilet, and bidet.

A fully equipped kitchen with granite tops. Appliances include a fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric fan oven, extractor fan, microwave, coffee machines, toaster, food mixer, juicer etc. A separate scullery/laundry with double sink, dishwasher, washing machine and steam iron, beach picnic cool box. All readily stocked with usual expendables.

There is a large garage/games room below with table tennis, and dartboard plus variety of pool toys, and beach gear etc.

OUTSIDE

A very private medium sized pool with no overlooking houses, pool is “L” shaped surface area of 24sqm ranging 1 to 1.8 meters deep. The pool is heated by a large solar installation and a thermo pool cover to conserve the heat overnight.

Two spacious sundecks, sun lounger’s umbrellas, tables, and chairs for alfresco dining. The west facing sundeck with barbeque is perfect for lazing with sun downers while soaking up the spectacular country sunsets.

From the automated entrance gate, a pebble driveway leads around to a large shady and secure parking, convenient for handicapped visitors to negotiate the garden, house, pool terraces all on one level free of ramps and riser steps.

A large mature garden with palm trees grass lawns for the children to romp around and some old oak, olive and carob trees.

CLEANING

A weekly combined house and pool cleaning service, a full change of linen, fresh cotton bath towels, plus pool/beach towels are provided.

With easing of coronavirus lockdown, all 3 our holiday properties are awarded CLEAN & SAFE certification following sanitizing protocol set by Turismo de Portugal.

CHANGE OVER DAY

Our preferred changeover day is Thursdays, but we are flexible whenever dates fit in reasonably with other bookings.

And following latest anti-virus sanitizing protocol, we welcome a vacant 24-hour day between changeovers.

Normal check-out is 10am on the day of departure and check-in on arrival is 2pm, however whenever possible we gladly adjust for earlier or later flights times.

MANAGEMENT

The villa is owner managed, they have over 18 years’ experience in renting out their 3 holiday properties. Their guest´s PRIVACY, SAFETY, SECURITY, and wellbeing is most important to ensure a carefree holiday

PRIVACY

Our guest´s privacy being paramount we securely fenced the perimeter of our secluded 3500meters of private land and the entrance gate is fully automated.

Nobody, neither staff nor management may enter the property without prior consent from the guests in residence.

SAFETY

As approved and licensed holiday property the villa conforms to the comfort and safety standards such as: Gas and Smoke detector alarms / Strategically placed 2 category Fire Extinguishers plus Fire blanket and luminous Exit signs / Power failure emergency lighting / a visible First Aid Kit cupboard with added extra anti-histamine tablets and creams to instantly reduce discomfort from stings and bites.

SECURITY

During economic austerity some 10 years ago, we installed into all 4 our properties top of the range yet easy to use Security Direct Alarms Systems to prevent unpleasant break-in intrusions spoiling our guest’s holidays whilst out and about away from your villa

Conveniently, we continued this alarm system which also offers EXTRA PEACE OF MIND for emergency instant reaction. Being linked via GPS to Police Villa Vigilance Service /The Fire Brigade / Emergency Ambulance with Paramedic Service / Plus a mere touch of a button away from National Emergency Service 112 attention, all of whom readily speak English.

Monte Fava is a well equipped and immaculately clean villa with stunning views and a pretty garden. It was really lovely to arrive and find fresh provisions, a cup of tea and rolls on the terrace was a great way to start our hols. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there sitting by the pool, glass of wine watching the birds flit around us. On two nights we were even visited by a long eared owl and even saw shooting stars due to very little night pollution. Although we have lots of other places to visit around the world we would love to come back to this magical place. A big thank you to the owners Karl and Daph for making our holiday so memorable.

Very clean and well maintained , location was great, Karl and Daphne were perfect hosts, all ways available if needed and very informative about were to go & the best way to get there. Lots of interesting things to do and see close by, just a great place. Portugal is a great country to visit it's SAFE , the people are wonderful and so freindly and helpful, english is spoken almost everywhere and the history is amazing,we loved it and are definitely going back next year there is so much to see and do. We totally enjoyed staying 3 weeks at the villa and exploring Portugal! The location in the mountains provided privacy and tranquility. Having stayed for over 30 years in villas, this is definitely one of the very best. Never have we found such a well-equipped villa, with everything including a lovely welcome pack. The peace, quiet and setting were superb as was the view. Karl and Daphne were wonderful hosts, giving excellent directions and keeping in touch. A real 5 star villa and welcome!

Very easy to rent. Easy to contact the property manager. Excelent house isolated at the Barrocal. Silence we only hear cicadas. Property well cared clean and very well equiped, swiming pool with heated water. A car is required, the house is not very far from Moncarapacho but the way up to the main road is not tared and is around 2 kms. Olhão is around 8 kms where you can find a good market of fish.
