Just outside Boazum, directly on the Eleven Cities Route and Slachtedijk, in the vast Frisian Greidhoek is our head-neck-rump farm Gerbrandy State. You will be overwhelmed by the peace and space that you can experience here. Whether you go hiking, cycling or exploring the landscape by canoe, Friesland can be experienced again and again: panoramic views, surprising villages, cozy towns, tranquil waters, museums and monuments. Gerbrandy State, centrally located in Friesland, is the ideal base from which to explore unexpected experiences.

B&B Rooms

As a B&B guest you can choose from double rooms, a triple room (with kitchenette) and two family rooms with separate bedroom suitable for 4 people (also for 4 adults). You can also use the recreation room with pool table, table tennis table, shuffleboard and extra TV corner, not to mention the wellness area with jacuzzi and 6-person infrared sauna. In the breakfast room, which is also a lounge area, we spoil our guests every morning with a delicious breakfast with homemade bread and local products. Here you meet other guests and there is a TV corner that you can use. The adjacent kitchen is also for general use. When the weather is nice, you can relax on the spacious terrace where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset in the evening.

The green room

This apartment consists of three single beds (king size / box spring), a sitting area with sofa, easy chair and coffee table, a dining table with 4 chairs and a simple kitchen with a 4-burner stove, refrigerator, kettle and coffee maker (Senseo). The spacious bathroom (with shower, toilet and washbasin), just like the apartment, has a tiled floor with underfloor heating.

The whole is barrier-free, so it is ideally suited for the elderly and the disabled.

The North Room

On the ground floor there is a second room (35 m2), the North Room. The room has a white wooden floor, and a dining and sitting area, arranged around a fireplace with original tile tableau. In addition, the room has a refrigerator, kettle and coffee maker (Senseo).

It goes without saying that this room also has a beautiful (ground floor) bathroom with a modern shower, double sink and toilet.

It swellenest

In the it Swellenêst apartment (32 m2) you will find the bed (twice a single box spring/king size) on an elevation between two ancient standing beams. In addition, there is a sitting area (sofa/lounge chair/coffee table), a dining table for four people and an extensive kitchen unit with built-in refrigerator, 4-burner stove and extractor hood. A kettle, coffee maker (Senseo) and microwave are part of the inventory as standard. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and washbasin.

In addition, a second bedroom has been made with a romantic box bed (1.60 x 2 m) so that you can also camp here with four people. The Velux roof windows offer you a beautiful view over the green greiden.

The yellow room

We also call this room the family room, because of the adjoining bedroom. The yellow room (24 m2) with two single box-spring beds and a spacious sitting area has an extra bedroom (8 m2) with a sturdy bunk bed as standard, but where a third bed or cot can be added if desired. This room also has a spacious bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin.

In the recreation room, which is located next to the room, there is a kitchenette that you can use (consisting of a sink with refrigerator, microwave, kettle and coffee maker). The view is magisterial due to the generous roof windows.

The blue room

This room consists of two single beds (kingsize/box spring), a sitting area with a sofa and an easy chair and a coffee table. The bathroom contains a shower, toilet and a washbasin.

In the recreation room, which is located opposite the room, there is a kitchenette that you can use (consisting of a sink with refrigerator, microwave, kettle and coffee maker).

Here too you will be pleasantly surprised by the beautiful view and the wide skies.

Group accommodation

In Gerbrandy State it is possible to rent the entire accommodation for a weekend, midweek or week on a self-catering basis. With a total of 15 beds, spread over 5 rooms, the accommodation is ideal for groups of 8 to 15 people. Are you with more than 15 people? Two extra beds are available in the recreation room. In addition to the 5 rooms, each with its own bathroom, there is a recreation room with pool billiards, table tennis, shuffleboard and TV corner, a large living/sitting room, a fully equipped kitchen and a wellness area with jacuzzi and infrared sauna (6 persons). Outside there is a spacious terrace with beautiful views, a bordered lawn and ample parking. For a small fee you can use a large gas barbecue. If you are staying here as a group, there are no other guests: privacy guaranteed. You will stay in the former barn area (hull) and we, Jan and Rinske, live in the front house (head and neck). We are nearby for questions and for receiving groups. Both parts have their own entrance. Are you looking for a central place in Friesland for the whole family, group of friends or a staff outing with lots of space, peace and privacy?
