History of the Cottage

The house is an old Limestone Thatched cottage. Built late in the 18th Century. It has recently gone through a complete restoration. The emphasis is on maintaining its character and old world charm.

This simply constructed building has represented our history and heritage for many generations. This cottage like many other was built using locally sought limestone with lime and sand mortar.

The cottage boasts a beautiful Limestone arch fireplace that surrounds an open cast iron stove. As well as the traditional style half door and box framed sash windows. The cottage is decorated with old time furniture and antiques, in keeping with its feel

Cots and extra single beds available on request. Plenty of room for cars, trailer or boats and a slipway just 5 mins drive to Tara Pier. Bikes available also. TV and Wifi

Location

Situated in the village of Ballinderreen on the coast road N67, 20 minutes from Galway City and 10 minutes from the Burren in Co Clare. on the “Wild Atlantic Way”. 5 minutes from Kinvara Village.

Public Transport

No need for a long walk the bus Stop for Galway City & Burren Region is right outside the front door!
