Description
This is a delightful semi-detached villa located in the center of the Il Poderone hamlet. The villa was built preserving the old Tuscan style: it has natural stone exterior walls, traditional Tuscan terracotta floors and wooden beamed ceiling. Villa is tastefully decorated with several elegant and well restored antiques and equipped with modern items.

The villa combines a traditional atmosphere with the comforts of a modern home. The lounge on the ground floor has direct access to both the terrace and the loggia, ideal environments for al fresco dining while admiring splendid open views of the surrounding landscape. The loggia has a stone barbecue, a table with six chairs and a granite bench. Villa has a large fenced garden that surrounds it and overlooks the countryside. The villa is accessed from the private loggia or from the terrace that surrounds the house.

Entering the large living room there is on one corner a tastefully furnished kitchen with a window above the work area and a dining area with a wooden table that seats six. The kitchen includes fridge / freezer, hob with gas stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher. Across the living room there is a comfortable sofa bed and a 32 inch flat screen satellite TV with USB, DVD with USB and CD player for indoor entertainment. On one side of the living room a staircase leads to the first floor where there are two double bedrooms with the traditional Tuscan wooden beamed ceiling which gives a warm feeling to the rooms.

Both bedrooms have ceiling fans. One of the bedrooms has a private terrace with a magnificent view furnished with a table and two chairs: from which you can see the coast, there is a 32 inch flat screen TV with USB in the master bedroom. Between the bedrooms there is a large bathroom with mosaic walls. The bathroom has a tub and hand shower. The second bedroom can be converted into a double room on request. This comfortable villa is furnished with some original Tuscan furniture from the 1800s.

The villa is located in a hamlet consisting of 9 natural stone farmhouses and equipped with a swimming pool, immersed in the splendid nature of the Maremma with a view of the sea coast. This is the perfect place from which to explore both the mountains and the sea. The coast, reachable in 45 minutes by car, offers gentle beaches, natural parks, fishing villages, tourist resorts all overlooking the clear waters of the Argentario Gulf in the Mediterranean Sea. The famous thermal springs of Saturnia can be reached in twenty minutes by car. Poderone is the ideal starting point for excursions to the sea, Monte Amiata, the southern wine region and the cities of the 'Tufo triangle' Pitigliano, Sovana and Sorano, all reachable in fifty minutes by car.

The Triana Castle that can be admired from the hamlet is located 6 km from the town of Roccalbegna. It is located on a rocky promontory and is surrounded by medieval stone walls, which are still in excellent condition. Outside the walls is the church of San Bernardino alla Triana. The castle is located about 1km from the hamlet, so it is possible to walk there.

At Monte Amiata it is possible to ski in the winter and walk in the summer.
