We are in the heart of Montefeltro, near the villages of Urbino, San Leo, San Marino, animated by numerous cultural and gastronomic events. The apartment, housed in the historic structure of the Vicariate Palace, has been restored leaving the characteristics of the castle's medieval setting unaltered. Recommended for trekking enthusiasts, marked hiking trails can be found on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback to the Sasso Simone nature park

The apartment has been refurbished trying to leave the characteristics of the whole medieval context unaltered: stone walls, exposed beams and cotto floor combined with a linear and modern style of furnishings.

5 minutes from the village of Pietrarubbia we find the cascades of the Conca, where you can have a refreshing bath and regenerate immersed in nature in a stream of clear water whose springs are on the mountain of Carpegna.
The neighborhood Valerio’s home is located in Mercato Vecchio, Marche, Italy. The accommodation is located on the slopes of Monte di Carpegna in the town of Pietrarubbia. The essence of the village and of these places allows tourists to experience moments of recollection and intimacy. Anyone can travel in time contemplating nature. From the windows of the apartment one can admire a unique panorama especially at sunset. The bell tower with its walls looks out to the landscape that opens to the peaks of Pietra Fagnana, Sasso Simone and Simoncello, Monte Catria, Nerone and Carpegna. The V century castle, considered the oldest of Montefeltro, whose remains are preserved and the imposing tower, today houses the renowned center TAM (Artistic Metals Treatment), an initiative promoted by sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro. The home and landscape is very, very special and unforgettable! Valerio was such a great host! We can definetly recommend Valerio and the apartement! :) The home was so cute and more than we have expected. Some standards are different to germany, but this wasn't that bad. Valerio directly described what and where to find anything, without asking. Communication, booking, Check In/Out without any problems. We really enjoyed our stay. There are A LOT of possibilities of activities if you are ok with a drive of +1h (it's worth it!) : - San Marino was GOOD! :) - San Leo was AWESOME! :) - Gradara was also AWESOME! :) - Urbino was GREAT! :) - Rimini was our favourite! The beach was very clean! - We didn't liked Pesaro... beach was almost clean, but nothing special... - Cattolica was OK, the beach was clean and beautiful Good to know: - We hadn't any internet access (which can be great sometimes) - you life directly in a historical museum with touristic, partys - the parking spaces were often full, so we had problems to find a parking space - there are no doors/closed up rooms
The host was very communicative from the beginning. The apartment is situated in an old building belonging to a castle. In fact you can climb up to the ruins of castle of Pietrarubbia which is up on the hill above the apartment. The countryside is marvelous. You could spend a whole holiday just wondering around. But in one hour drive you can be in San Marino, Rimini or Ravenna. The apartment was very comfortable with a very friendly atmosphere. It was one of our best holidays in years.
Abbiamo soggiornato per una settimana nell'appartamento il girasole con i nostri cani. L'appartamento è spazioso, pulito e ben tenuto; abbiamo trovato lenzuola, asciugamani puliti e ogni confort. Il borgo è davvero una perla, l'ideale per godere di serenità e pace; molto gentile Valerio che abbiamo conosciuto di persona il giorno prima della partenza e che è stato davvero disponibile. Consigliatissimo per chi cerca un posto piacevole per trascorrere delle vacanze rilassanti.
appartamento ubicato in borgo medioevale, luogo incantevole, tranquillo e ideale se cercate una vacanza lontana dai rumori del mondo. la casa è accogliente, atttrezzata per ogni necessità. Il proprietario è gentile e disponibile.
Valerio ha aspettato il nostro arrivo in tarda serata e ci ha accolto con gentilezza informandoci sul luogo e sulla sua storia. L'appartamento è ben arredato, confortevole e accogliente e fornito di tutto il necessario. Il borgo che lo ospita è del 1200 completamente ristrutturato, una favola. Lo consiglio a tutti coloro che hanno voglia di passare giorni di vacanza nel Medio Evo con tutti i comfort del 2000. Abbiamo trascorso un fine settimana diverso e magico. Voglio anche sottolineare che ho potuto trascorrere questi giorni in compagnia del mio cane che è stato ben accetto. Grazie Valerio, consiglierò a tutti il tuo bell'appartamento. Tornerò presto.
