Less than 1 km from the Atlantic Ocean, B&B lies in a quiet rural area at the end of a cul-de-sac.

An extensive forest surrounds the quinta. It has spectacular views over the countryside and across the valley and in the distance, the charming town of Caldas da Rainha is attractively illuminated in the evening.

The bed and breakfast stands in its own grounds of over 7500 square metres. The swimming pool is sheltered from any chilly sea breezes by a hill that lies to the front of the property.

Entering through the gate, you find yourself on the intimate patio. Lying off the central patio are two of the three B&B studios and our own house. On the central patio you can also enjoy breakfast or dinner.

The perfect location for our bed and breakfast

We, Peter and Anita, bought our farmhouse in 2006 after a long search. We looked at lots of houses throughout Portugal. When we saw this place we immediately fell in love and we instantly felt at home because there was such a relaxed atmosphere in and around the house. The beautiful surroundings and the views made the picture complete, it would be the perfect to create the bed and breakfast of our dreams.

We are very proud and happy to be able to welcome our guests.

Comfortable with private terrace and bathroom

B&B has 3 luxury studios. They have all the amenities:

private entrance with outdoor lighting. Studio O Lagarto also has an entrance to the orchard.
private patio with furniture and parasol,
large bathroom with walk-in shower or rain shower,
TV with satellite dish, many European and global channels can be received,
free WIFI,
comfortable beds which are changed every three days,
every other day cleaning of your studio,
plenty towels that are changed as required,
airco,
wardrobe with full-length mirror. 

B&B Studio o Lagarto

Studio O Lagarto is 35 m2 and has 2 interior sprung beds 90×200 cm each that can be converted into a double bed with a mattress topper. For 2 people. An extra bed can be provided for a child under 12 years. The studio has a kitchenette with a refrigerator with freezer drawer, microwave and coffee and tea-making facilities.

B&B Studio o Peixe

Studio o Peixe is 32m2 large and has a comfortable double bed 160 x 200 cm. An internal stone staircase leads to the private roof terrace with stunning views over the valley The studio has a kitchenette with a refrigerator with freezer drawer, microwave and coffee and tea-making facilities. For 2 people. An extra bed can be provided for a child under 12 years.

B&B Studio a Gaivota

Studio o Gaivota is 30m2 large and has a comfortable double bed 160 x 200 cm. The studio has a kettle, coffee- and tea-making facilities and a small refrigerator (46 l). For 2 people.

Relaxing, good food and drink…

B&B is a great place to relax. On the large grounds you can make use of multiple terraces, soak up the sun and relax by the pool on the comfortable loungers, or enjoy the shade of the trees in the orchard. Your studio also has a private terrace.

We lie in a really quiet location. All you’ll hear is the rustle of leaves and the peaceful twitter of birds.

But still you’re not far from São Martinho do Porto. This lively town has a beautiful bay where you can swim safely. There are also beach bars, shops and restaurants. This is all less than 10 minutes’ drive from the quinta.

Culinary delights for food lovers

The bed and breakfast has a dining room, the outdoor dining area is adjacent to the outdoor kitchen and barbeque on our beautiful patio.

We serve breakfast, which includes home baked bread, croissants, Portuguese bread, French toast, pancakes or waffles, homemade jam, other spreads and a variety of cold meats and cheese. Served with freshly squeezed juice and coffee or tea.

Payment Policy
No smoking in the apartments. There is a bench outside on the patio where you may smoke. Due to the high risk of fire you are not permitted to start your own barbecue or fire. We can arrange a barbecue. Damage caused by you in and around the house, will be charged to your bill. We bear no liability for any damage, loss or theft of your property. The stay and use of the studio and pool falls under the responsibility of the guest or user. Your studio is available from 3pm on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, the studios must be vacated by 11am. Discount on the total price for stays of one week. Discount per night for a single occupancy of a studio.
