Description
"Casa Blù": newly renovated, this blue house in Cuglieri is located in the historical center of a famous small town, where a Seminary formed priests in the XXth century.

It is composed of three ensuites with their own bathroom, an extra toilet, a huge lounge where you can enjoy your meals around the big table, a balcony with a gorgeous view to the sea. The kitchen has everything you need, from a dishwasher to a washing machine, and a second balcony.

Free internet.

All the suites are equipped with memory foam mattresses. In the summer, you can enjoy your morning espresso, your green or chinese tea on the balcony with a view to the sea, or under the fresh breeze of the lounge ceiling fan. In the winter, the lounge has a big pellet heating, and the rooms are heated with electrical panels.


The village has a cash dispenser, two tobacconists, a news store, a pharmacy, a weekly market, vegetable sellers, butchers, and three small supermarkets.

You can also rent the sauna, which is located in the house next door, same owner.


Sardinia is famous for its olive oil, some of the best olive groves are in our area and you can visit them. So are the cheese farms, with their fresh ricotta or pecorino that you can watch in the making.

Location

Cuglieri has an astonishing history of ups and downs, it has been the center of the region in the 19th century, then the local olive oil producers decided to refuse to have a train station and the town declined. In 1925 the Vatican decided to build one of the most important Seminaries and Theological Universities just here, because of the wonderful location of the site. Thus, another period of prosperity began, it lasted nearly 50 years, until 1971.
Beginning from 2005, a bunch of foreigners, French, German, Belgian, British, etc.have bought and renovated houses, and this place is becoming a magical peaceful spot, from where you will enjoy a unique view of the coast !

You should not miss the astonishing water quality of the beaches, regularly rated in the top ten of the world, as you should not miss the 3500 year old nuraghe sites !The island of Sardinia has archeological treasuries. 

Getting there

The closest airports are located in Cagliari and Alghero, both at 1:30 hour drive from Cuglieri. Olbia is 2 hours from us. You can also take a ferry and arrive in Porto Torres, Olbia or Cagliari. You will need a car to visit the ancient sites of the mysterious Nuraghe, the archeological site of Tharros, see the political murals of Orgosolo or just go to the surrounding beaches. Parking is possible at 5 minutes walk from the house.

We had a great family reunion at Paola's lovely house. The house is cozy, clean and comfortable with great views. Paola kindly offerdc us the kitchen and balcony from the adjacent house since there were no other quests staying there. She is a very friendly and accommodating host and she makes sure that her guests do not leave with any unanswered need or question. We definitely recommend this house and would love stay there in the future again.

One of the best discoveries ever. A spectacular house in a quiet village. Cozy, quiet and very welcoming. Terrace has a great view, kitchen is specioys and has all you need to cool a perfect local dish. Paola is a true host who took very good care of us and provided all we needed.
