The Farm

Thanks to the happy encounter between Marco (a zoologist very passionate about animals and plants from all over the world) and Loris (a banker, very passionate about cooking, also a Pilates and fitness teacher, and lover of farming,) in 2007 the farm was born, a magic place where people, plants, and animals live in full armony.

Do you love nature, animals and all their sounds?

Eco-sustainability

“ At the Farm we lead a project of sustainable turism, which for us means simply respect of nature and others( people)?
Fun and relax are mixed (linked?) with small responsible actions which are not in conflict with the balance of nature. In a small island like ours, which has always had problems due to the lack of water, this means to be aware of any waste of it and waste of elecrticity ( i.e. air conditioning). This also means to respect towards all animlas and their life balance, to embrace the absence of amenities such as the TV and other devices in the rooms. This also means to reduce our footprint on the planet as much as possible, and leave more space to enjoy to the full a different kind of unforgettable holiday in armony with the beauty of the place and therefore of ourselves” ( Marco and Loris).

The Farm is the ideal place where to slow down and find again your breath, to enjoy a holiday in a very authentic and comfortable place, which also will tell you a lot about Marco and Loris and their idea of Hospitality.

It is a place where conviviality and research for silence coexist, where to look at the nature in all its forms: flowers, plants, animals, the cork tree woods for a magic walk, within the area of the farm, or being really close to some of th most beautiful beaches of the south Sardinia, as well as “Il Monte dei 7 Fratelli” for some trekking.

Also it will be possible to visit some archeological sites, and a beautiful city, Cagliari, full of culture and atmosphere.

The Rooms

Colorful and beautiful rooms furnished and decorated with handcrafted furnitures, with air conditioning and big ensuite bathrooms, all with a view of the woods and the amazing tropical garden.

Meal time

Lots of love … is the main ingredient!
Everything happens around a big wooden table under the porch where guests from all around the word gather together and somehow find the same language for long and pleasent chats and laughs which usually end up with the famous “mirto”, a typical handmade liqueur, made under the big sky full of stars.

Two are the moments which make the experience at the “Fattoria” simply unique:

the copious breakfasts (served between 8.30 and 10.30) immersed in the nature.
the dinners that Loris prepares during the week, with all his creativity and love, (which need to be booked in advance), using only local products.
If you wish, you can also request very tasty italian aperitifs during the evening, when there aren’t any dinners planned.

Wellness and more…

At the Fattoria you will be able to enjoy individual moments of relax.

The wellness room obtained from the ancient stable is designed for meditation, yoga and light physical activity.

You can also book a Pilates class with Loris, alone, or with a small group.

Upon request Marco will take you through an itinerary to discover all the plants and the animals of the Fattoria, which live together in armony, due to the big experience that Marco has developed after working as zoologist  in Italy and other countries.

If you wish, you could also take a “piece of Sardinia” with you by buying some local products (which can be sent to your address in case you are travelling with hand luggage only).

Jams, honey, mirto and limoncello are homemade at the Fattoria.

Wines such as Vermentino ( white) and Cannonau ( red) are from the Cantina of Dolianova.
